Your video was very good. I am christian but i love doing and wearing different items. I wear hats and scarves. Now i like sporting the hijab i need a little more practice one how to wrap them. I think they enhance our beauty.

Otherwise you might know that there is more evidence and support for the Bible (New Testament in particular) this nearly any other document from the period. Also, I won't even get into the thousands of manuscripts available.
@shieldsff I was forced to read the OLD King James version of the Bible ten times by the time I was sixteen. I also memorized all of Proverbs. I think I've studied it. There inconsistances and yes it is incomplete. Read my comment again and then read yours and then get back to me. The dead sea scrolls were not a part of the Bible, they were excluded. That is why its is incomplete. It is a book manipulated by men and written by MEN. Its a wonderful guide, and great story, but thats all it is.

The style where u pin in the back and wrap around works well with extra long pashima/rectangle scarfs I have had this hijab I've been wanting to wear but it was way too long the ususal style I wear this way it covers and looks fly

Audu'Billah! May none of the sisters here be pushed away from Islam by your terrible attitude! Not everyone is blessed to have a mosque nearby you know and not everyone is brave enough yet to ask for that kind of help. If wearing a hijab in a nice way gives them the courage to wear it then you should say masha'Allah and leave it at that.

If I remember correctly there is a hadith which states that you have to dress nicely, keep yourself in good health, etc., because how you look is a reflection of how Islam is perceived by non-Muslims (perhaps you can tell me which hadith this is, since you are apparently so knowledgeable?). I wouldn't consider what the sisters in this video are wearing to be very flashy (in fact, it helps them blend in and be noticed less in American culture), I think it would depend on your cultural perception.
Also, I would ask for your daleel that women *must* only wear black (it is mustahab, not fard), or only wear niqab (which is not even mustahab), or only stay in their homes as often as possible (which only ever applied to the wives of the Prophet - pbuh - even Fatima - may Allah be pleased with her - went outside regularly). Please, hadith and ayat which apply only to the Prophet's (pbuh) wives (may Allah be pleased with them all) don't apply to other women.

earrings and other jewelry is not to be worn in public view. You can wear all the jewelry you want in front of husband, but not in public, otherwize you are not covering yourself and being modest in front of strangers. Just remember a simple rule: am I attracting men to look at me, if so you are doing something wrong in the way you dress.Also, hijab is not an option ,it is required in Islam, niqaab is optional, but recommended in Islam.
I thought so, thanks for your clarity. As a new Muslimah prospect, I keep hearing conflicting views on what is the correct way to cover. And in understanding what it is means to be truly modest, I can't help but ask questions when I see things that simply don't make sense, and that don't fall in line with pleasing Alllah as appose to pleasing our ego.
i'm sure the intentions behind this video were good but sisters, hijab is meant to cover the ears & the bhangra music at the beginning & end was a bit of a shock. this style can be done in a way so it covers the ears/bits of hair etc. :)

I do not wear makeup and I'm not muslim (yet). I worked in healthcare before I lost myjob last month. I do not wear makeup because I do not want to affect other people with the scents that may come off of my makeup, just like I don't wear perfume for the same reason. I do not want to make scent sensitive people sick!
When you wear makeup, you adorn yourself, and this is not allowed, in Islam, to women to do in front of foreign people, you can do this only in front of your husband, your unmarriageable persons (mehrems like your father, brother, uncle,.....) or children those do not have sexual ability yet.
This is why makeup with hijab is haram, from my VIEWPOINT.

Its not right for a man to lust after a woman's bounty, but we can lust as we like? Why must a woman wear a burqa, but her husband is free to wear what he likes? Otherwise you might know that there is more evidence and support for the Bible (New Testament in particular) this nearly any other document from the period. You might want to, for example, compare the amazing accuracy of the Dead Sea scrolls to our copies of the King James Version of the Bible available today. Also, I won't even get into the thousands of manuscripts available.

@shieldsff I was forced to read the OLD King James version of the Bible ten times by the time I was sixteen. I also memorized all of Proverbs. I think I've studied it. There inconsistances and yes it is incomplete. Read my comment again and then read yours and then get back to me. The dead sea scrolls were not a part of the Bible, they were excluded. That is why its is incomplete. It is a book manipulated by men and written by MEN. Its a wonderful guide, and great story, but thats all it is.

as to your second assertion regarding "manipulation", would you pls define what you mean by both 'manipulation" and "Bible". Traditional disciples of Jesus do not accept, for example, the writings of Origen or Arius..We would agree that a translation like the New World translation (Jehovah Witness) is greatly flawed. However, you have no evidence that the traditional translations are at all flawed.; the evidence is entirely against you. And because of that the teachings of the Bible are correct

It's wonderful that you were taught the Proverbs Proverbs is a great book of Godly wisdom that benefits all pple in the world. What I always questioned about Islam is by what authority do U pick and choose. Have you also studied Gen 17-19. What about the book of Leviticus, Also, you do not appear very familiar w/the Gospels which have strong support in Isiah. John chap 1 states the Law came by Moses,but grace & truth by Jesus Christ. if a women didnt wear a scarf at all before and started off by wearing it like this then their is no harm,as she has made an improvement.
from their she may decide to cover up her neck and accesories and after that may even decide to wear a niqab,who knows.

And if Allah didn't like these video's why does He, the All Knowing, All Wise allow them to be here and inspire so many other sisters?

If you want to do something positive, then you should wear niqab and try to explain why it is so important to wear like this. Audu'Billah! May none of the sisters here be pushed away from Islam by your terrible attitude! Not everyone is blessed to have a mosque nearby you know and not everyone is brave enough yet to ask for that kind of help. If wearing a hijab in a nice way gives them the courage to wear it then you should say masha'Allah and leave it at that.

If I remember correctly there is a hadith which states that you have to dress nicely, keep yourself in good health, etc., because how you look is a reflection of how Islam is perceived by non-Muslims (perhaps you can tell me which hadith this is, since you are apparently so knowledgeable?). I wouldn't consider what the sisters in this video are wearing to be very flashy (in fact, it helps them blend in and be noticed less in American culture), I think it would depend on your cultural perception.

Also, I would ask for your daleel that women *must* only wear black (it is mustahab, not fard), or only wear niqab (which is not even mustahab), or only stay in their homes as often as possible (which only ever applied to the wives of the Prophet - pbuh - even Fatima - may Allah be pleased with her - went outside regularly). Please, hadith and ayat which apply only to the Prophet's (pbuh) wives (may Allah be pleased with them all) don't apply to other women.

I'm a Muslim brother and I think this video gestures Islamic cultural pride and serves as inspiration for both sisters & Brothers. Of coarse being in the public eye, you are going to have a few squares come around you. While Muslims sit dormant feeling sorry for themselves how "plantation media" creates negative stereotypes or condescending words, you two reinforce your autonomy by actively counteracting those narratives. can someone help me what is the black item the sisters wear on the head before she applies the orange one? Im being invited to the Mosque on Sunday and I cant find a white scarf anywhere! Salaam. I'm a Polish muslim (living in Sweden) and since 98% of the Polish population is very conservative and Catholic I don't wear hijab but I'm thinking of making this important decision and to start wearing the hijab.

earrings and other jewelry is not to be worn in public view. You can wear all the jewelry you want in front of husband, but not in public, otherwize you are not covering yourself and being modest in front of strangers. Just remember a simple rule: am I attracting men to look at me, if so you are doing something wrong in the way you dress.Also, hijab is not an option ,it is required in Islam, niqaab is optional, but recommended in Islam.

I thought so, thanks for your clarity. As a new Muslimah prospect, I keep hearing conflicting views on what is the correct way to cover. And in understanding what it is means to be truly modest, I can't help but ask questions when I see things that simply don't make sense, and that don't fall in line with pleasing Alllah as appose to pleasing our ego.

i'm sure the intentions behind this video were good but sisters, hijab is meant to cover the ears & the bhangra music at the beginning & end was a bit of a shock. this style can be done in a way so it covers the ears/bits of hair etc. :)

I do not wear makeup and I'm not muslim (yet). I worked in healthcare before I lost myjob last month. I do not wear makeup because I do not want to affect other people with the scents that may come off of my makeup, just like I don't wear perfume for the same reason. I do not want to make scent sensitive people sick!

When you wear makeup, you adorn yourself, and this is not allowed, in Islam, to women to do in front of foreign people, you can do this only in front of your husband, your unmarriageable persons (mehrems like your father, brother, uncle,.....) or children those do not have sexual ability yet.
This is why makeup with hijab is haram, from my VIEWPOINT.

WHAT?! no no where in the quran does it say "u can not wear makeup, u must look UGLY in ur hijab!!" the whole reasoning for the hijab is for protection and for the sake of obediance to your god! is does not mean you can not embrace your hijab to fit WHO U ARE, and you beauty! niqab is Personal preferance!
