when it comes to disaster movies, asian ones are the best

although I rarely see an asian disaster movie other than this one, haeundae proves that it has a large potential. If you have seen behind the scenes (which I recommend), the way the director, Yoon Je-kyoon, tries to make the scene realistic is enough to scare me. It involves many extras and even though the effects comparing in hollywood is not that good, it still works as one of the best disaster movies

a drama movie..first part is funny and peaceful.. and then comes the tidal vawe and it becomes like one of the saddest movies ever..

I liked it better than every another movies about such a tragedy..2012, Day after tommorow.. I didnt like those movies, they seem emotionless compared to this one.. in Haeundae you get closer to the characters and it makes the tragedy more intense

cool movie. but it was a little too much. first a big tidal wave whipes out pretty the whole town, especially everyone on the ground, which forces the survivors on the roof. Then the second big tidal wave comes and takes care of the rest. I was like "oh shit, what the hell man?" Plus how do most of the man characters die, but that uncle to that little boy first survives the wave that hits the bridge, then the falling cargo crates, then the cargo ship explosion? wtf? The others die instantly.....

"A Tale Of Two Sisters", "The Host", "Memories Of Murder", "Phone", "Hansel & Gretel", "The Isle", "Old Boy", "Natural City" and "Save The Green Planet" are my all-time favorites.

this movie is such a let down.

the plot is silly half the time and only during the half way point do u see the real plot unfold. the camera action moves too fast to catch any specific details and the computer animation is blantantly obvious. there is too much screaming.. 6/10
