doug based upon the expectations of gravitational force, will it be correct to assume the amount of muscular performance should be limited only, if you will, to the amount of equivalent degree of participation of other muscle groups that expressed themselves to the degree of stress you put during the training? thanksi
Doug has skinny legs and puny shoulders. Machines are for physical therapy and not for those seeking fitness and certainly not for athletes. How is this any different than what Dr. Ellington Darden professed in Massive Muscles in 10 Weeks published in 1987?

In your book you hint at performing only up to five workouts, namely the large muscle groups, what if you want to hit the smaller muscle groups, would it be okay to do more than five if you want to isolate say the triceps biceps forearms? Like doing the big five in the video and then more thoroughly working out the secondary muscles?
bootiac,Dr.Mcguff, unlike Mentzer, did not and does not use steroids.I've seen the man in person,he is built and has legs you could probably only dream of having.
Doug, In this video you move in quick succession from each machine, being that you are training different muscle groups and looking for maximum stimulation should you rest briefly before continuing each compound movement.
@m3nrc Moving from machine to machine will greatly improve your cardiovascular system or as Doug refer's to it as your Metabolic Head Room. It's really the true way to improve your endurance and cardio
No Hooks or wraps for your hands your grip/hands will fail faster than your biceps and of course your lats how do you bring them to failure if your not isolating them?

@nbavlc The "true way to improve your endurance and cardio." You're joking right?

@bundle05 Nope. Would you like to explain to me a better and more effective way of improving your Cardiovascular system?

Doug -
Love the book, great stuff. Couple questions:
- in the book you have leg press last for Big 5, here you have it first. Does it matter and do you have a preference?
- for the leg press, is a Smith Machine the best because it's both safe and also engages the lower back and stomach?
Thanks again,

Unlike Mike Mentzer you seem to see some merit to the TUL principle of the Super Slow school of HIT.
Or is this merely your version of limiting force?

I wish I could get my 18 year old lifters to appreciate the process of a super-slow workout. Thanks for posting!
