My mom smoked for many years, now she has to use an oxygen machine 16 hours per day, because the smoke has robbed her body of oxygen and lung function.

What non-smokers don't get. We really enjoy it! I agree it's better not to start but it's not all bad. If it were only slightly dangerous and still inexpensive, I'd say you were crazy to not smoke. Yes it's harmful, but if you smoke, you get to really enjoy smoking a lot of cigarettes. That does offset the risk somewhat. There is nothing else like it.
