  • I love everything about this video, and everything in it.

  • oh dear this is painfully cute

  • just kidding...hehe...xD

  • can we eat sugar glider? coz it really look delicious and mouthwatering to me...LOL...xD

  • lol, at 0:15 the cats like "wtf?"

  • Good kitty you have there. My cat's mean. She would not stand for this. She attacks us!

  • glider goes OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BAABBBYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My ferret and my cat are bffs! Luckily ferrets are big enough that I don't have to worry about leaving them alone together. They entertain each other at night, and I get to sleep undisturbed. (My ferret sleeps most of the daylight hours away, and this is important for their health. If they are kept awake a lot during the day they get some sort of hormonal upset that can cause death. NOT an 'old wives tale'.

  • how is your cat not trying to devour it? xD

  • I want some suggies but for no stated reason I'm not allowed to have mammals.

  • is it a boy? its marking the cat. they obviously like eachother. my gliders scare my cats

  • @Deppowns2426 Just be sure to supervise them. And it is better if they have known each other since they were babies, though it isn't necessary. Just be careful.

  • love that jack johnson is playing in the background

  • Sugar Glider: MY kitty! Be my slave. I own you now! XD

So adorable. It's nice that you have a glider and a cat that get along so well. Great job as a pet owner, but I would still suggest not leaving them alone together. lol

  • lol snuggle ^_^

  • sugar glider : OMG THIS CARPET IS SO COMFEHH

  • cute

  • Cat: "I have something on my back, don't I? Oh, oh its one of those flying furry mouse things isn't it? Why doesn't anyone ever warn you about these things. C'mon! Seriously? I have to wear it now?"

  • la da dada da da!

  • jack johnson :)

  • My cricket climbed on top of my gecko today...stupid cricket.

  • That's too funny. I named my sugar glider Lilo and have a dog named Stitch!! <3

  • Sugar Glider : "OMG its so fluffy.. i wanna get in there" xD

  • jack johnson ftw

  • whats the song playing?

  • cat says " i dont like what the fuck is going on here"

  • how did she do that

  • I have a question about my sugar gliders -

I have three of them, I got them from a previous owner who didn't take care of them very well. 2 of them are over weight, one is missing half her tail, and the other one is perfectly fine. But anyways.

How can you fix a problem of overweight sugar gliders? I have a running wheel in there, a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, and pellets for food, and a nice big cage. They don't seem to be losing any weight. Help?

  • @ayajasminx Yep that's tough.First of all find out which foods have a higher fat content and give them less of it.They'll eat the yummy unhealthy stuff first just like us, so their favorite foods should be limited.Extra excersize is a must to lose weight so maybe try tent time...just a big well enclosed tent set up in a room nightly and have a few hours or so play time in there. Also maybe a bigger cage with more climbing areas and new toys would help.Maybe try different pellets too?

  • @ayajasminx

no pellett food that stuff is cap espicaly glider-r-chow or vets pride try a diet called hpw or bml i use hpw is super easie to make

  • @turbo16vgti I've had my gliders 7 years and have tried all those diets....honestly I'm sticking to vets pride. All 5 of my gliders have been doing great on it and they don't stink at all. Who says there's something wrong with those pelleted foods anyways? My neutered male used to be obese and even lost weight when I switched them to vets pride.

  • @slitherywoman I heard from a specialized glider vet that the pellets are better than just feeding them fruit!

  • Things like this make me do a little arm-flap-and-squeal dance....

  • the cats like "what the fuck is this on my back??"

  • lol the look on the cat's face at the end of the video is priceless.

"Why the f*ck are you putting this thing on me?"

lol he looks so annoyed it's adorable.

  • Cute :D

  • where can i get a sugar glider?

  • @jackthayer If you do the necessary research you need to own one, then you should be able to find one yourself.

  • Lol my cat and my rat have a bond like this X3

  • 2 things i know-1. i want a parakeet and 2. i reaallly want a sugar glider

  • DAMN, i hate it when youtube adds something that THEY think will improve the site but in the end its just annoying as hell..

    nice glider btw :D

  • do u have 2 buy 2 of them if u have other pets they can socialize with?

  • Jack Johnson :)

  • do cats nd sugar gliders get along

  • beautiful cat !

  • OH ok mine stay in the sun anyway. Not direct but u know in some sunlight :)

  • Sugar gliders can get blinded by bright lights. Just be careful. Funny vid

  • It's not as bright at it seems on the vid...no flourescents or anything. Their eyes adjust anyhow. No worries!

  • That is precious.

  • Sugar Kitty!

  • cats truly are the mr dont give a fuck of the animal world

  • I notice you have to keep petting the cat and keeping it distracted. the cat is clearly uncomfortable towards the end. You probably wouldn't leave them alone together.

  • thats one BIG glider. mine's a female and shes over a year OOP and sososo tiny! we took her to the vet though and they said its normal. i just got a baby boy too i hope he gets that big! ur glide ris adorable!

  • @musicvids9596 Maybe the lady in the video is just very petite?

  • that sugar glider is a fricken ninja!

  • Probably not unless you rescue them.

  • i v seen it all

  • whats ths ong playing in background?

  • @malik9211 i think its some jack johnson

  • Would it be okay for my sugar gliders to be around my other cats???

  • @123gabbyabby depends on the gliders and the cats.

  • hahaha my friend has one

  • Aww soo cute--its soo easy to see the cat and suggie like each other--the suggie snuggles in and the cat is like`stay there suggie the longer you stay the longer i will get stroke by the owner lol

  • lamo, senting the cat, mine does the same!

  • Aww to cute, i had a bird that did that to my cat

  • aww your cat is so cute! and your glider is adorable too lol

  • In my experience, cats + small animals = bad

  • it all depends on the atitude of the animals and how well you train them.

  • what is sugar glider????

  • u probably figured this out already, but it is an Australian marsupial.

  • 0:12

    "Snuggly!!"

  • We run a rescue. have over 70 gliders. Many come in solo because cats and dogs have eaten their cage mates. This is just such a bad idea and will result in a lot of death.

  • I understand your concern. I have worked with gliders and hundreds of other species and am aware of the threat. I also know that my cats will not hurt my gliders, per my experience as an animal behaviorist. I do agree that the inexperienced should not try this. Thank you for your concern.

  • @slitherywoman I hope that you are aware of the fact that a single scrape on your glider from your cat will result in death.they are highly allergic to cats the tiniest thing could trigger this allergey PLEASE!!!! stop this ASAP.if you love your glider you would not chance putting them in harms way like that. Also you are giving a very bad idea to inexperienced glider enthusiasts.

  • @dmbkny11 I'm sorry you feel that way, but you are wrong. You clearly have unreliable sources. It's not your fault...I blame it on all the bullshit websites out there that misinform people like yourself. If I stopped letting my cats and gliders interact, they would all get very depressed - they are a family and have been for 6 years with no issues AT ALL. The cats purr and love on them and the gliders love it!

  • @slitherywoman Yeah super true. My cat messes with my glider all the time. Swipes at him in a friendly way constantly. But whenever my sugar glider jumps on my cats body....boy does my cat jet. He jumps like five feet in the air he gets so scared. They're very adorable with one another. Now letting them near a stray... that's a different story.

  • @dmbkny11 Since when are Sugar Gilders allergic to cats? And if you read the description you will see that the cats are accustomed to smaller animals. These animals probably love each other like family. If she stopped associating them with each other the cats may begin to think that Sugar Gliders are bad or they may even become sad. Animals form bonds such as we people do. It'd probably be like being away from you best friend for long periods of time.

  • @dmbkny11 Do not introduce Sugar Gliders to other household pets, especially cats due to the toxin in the cat's saliva that is lethal to Sugar Gliders

  • @BernardHahn Prove it!

  • @dmbkny11 This is not true at all. Everyone do your research. And try (W*3) (glidercentral) dotcom!

  • It all depends on how the cat and glider have been raised. I know my sister has a Chinchilla that is allowed to run loose in our house and we have several cats...the chinchilla is much tougher than the cats and they run away from him if he approaches them :P On the other hand, we'd never let the chinchilla near someone else's cat.

It all depends on how they are raised.

  • be careful there is a bactira in cat spit that will cause a chinchilla to seem like he has perm phumonia and you can never cure it.

  • how long did it take your glider to bond with you??

  • I have 5. The parents were friendly with me when I first got them so bonding was easy. Then they neglected the babies since their previous owners fed them a horrible diet of cat food and other bad shit. So the babies bonded with me once they were oop since I had to bottle feed them. It can take weeks and sometimes months to bond with a new glider though.

  • yeah like mine, she took 3 months!!!!

  • my first suggie boned with me on the second day and the the second bonded with me on th same day I got her and the first suggie bonded with the second the same day cuz I rubbed the new one in my hair (the newer 1 is a love bug and loves stranger suggies and goes up to every1 for love so I guess it's kinda cheating lol)

  • so cute!

  • Sugar babies are not rodents. Therefore not looked at as food. If you slowly let your sugar baby get used to your pet, and your pet used to sugar baby... They become accustomed to each other's company and looked at as a member of the colony :3

  • wow that's really weird!! X3 Though my cat loves to sit on top of my gliders' cage. But that's not as weird as this haha

  • Was that glider chest-marking that cat? :O

  • my sugar glider gets along well with my chinchilla its really cute to see them cuddle

  • That's so cute.

My cat lets me do that with my gliders too xD

  • lol my brother in law had a boy sugar glider and the boy sugar glider would beat the crap out of his cat.

  • Oh, that's so sweet. Your cat is very well-behaved, too!

  • Jack Johnson, but Rusted Root rocks too.

  • Tiny sugar glider hugs to the back. No wonder the cat isn't in any hurry to eat it.

  • 0:22 OK GO IM READY

  • "What the hell is my lunch doing crawling around on my back?"

  • @Zpik3 ROFL XD

  • when I get my sugar glider I wonder it will get along with my cat

  • so my friend has baby sugar gliders about three months old and i have a bunny about 8 years old and i want them to meet each other....is this a really bad idea?

  • I don't see a problem with it as long as you're careful. Other paranoid people may think differently though. It's just a matter of knowing your animals.

  • Uhh a Cat will eat a sugar glider, cause it eats meat. A rabbit does not eat meat, the rabbit it likely to be more scared by the Glider.

  • WRONG trainedw cats do not eat these, and actually they really like them

  • My cats would just eat it! There would be no bonding time. They would not wait that long! LOL

  • A cat that has accepted a glider as a part of the family will not attack it. In fact, it's likely that paternal instincts will kick in, and it would not be uncommon to find the cat grooming the glider, or playing with it, or just plain cuddling with it. Once this happens, your glider is perfectly safe with your cat. In fact, your cat would probably be very protective of it.

  • @HauntedBrian assuming you have a nice cat.

  • UNBELIEVABLE! I'll bet y'all a wacky bunch!

     I <3 IT!!!!!

  • Cool he look comfy

  • i just died it was so cute!

  • the cats OKAY with that????? oh em gee. its not attacking it? OH EM GEE. its not even growling???? OH EM GEE!!!!!

  • Oh my god thank you for posting this :D

  • thats so cute i love when other animals get along its so cute

  • Jack Johnson!

    <3

  • glider say: i got you now!!

    too cute

  • He looks so comfy! ;)

  • So adorable. I love how the glider just rubs itself into the soft kitty. too cute

  • Sooo freaking cuuute!!!!

  • too cute

  • If you look the cat is completely aware of the glider. Most cats you can train to love a smaller animal. Plus the glider was comfy on the kitty. Very Cute Video.

  • Wow...you should never trust your cat around a glider. I don't care if the cat hasn't done anything to it for years. The cat has its instincts...

  • Please notice that I'm standing right there the whole time...thanks!

  • My 20 lb cat snaps the necks of mountain rats weighing up to 2.5 lbs, but is bonded to my 2.5 pound Chihuahua - she lords over him, biting his ears when he stops grooming her before she's ready, or if he bugs her when she isn't in the mood to play, but he would never hurt her. Cats think and bond differently than dogs, but just like dogs they can be conditioned to bond to any kind of animal and once bonded they will never harm that animal. Still, better to err on the side of caution I guess.

  • Really? My cat hurts the people that she loves. But it might be because she was hated by my roommates and pets the moment she stepped in the house.

  • I almost forgot; they mark their territory as well.

  • hahaha the glider was cuddling!

  • He was actually marking the cat with his scent. ;)

They scent bond, which is why once they are fully bonded & trained you can go outside with your little buddies, and they will never leave your presence.

Really cute too; they do this to people as well.

They run in groups of 7-8 in the wild; the Alpha males job is not only to protect the colony, but to mark the rest of the SGs with his scent.

  • Lovely! :)

  • its a simple a somethin that knowbody knows

everytime i let my dogs near my gliders they beat up my dogs lol

  • its not a proper cat. a proper cat would eat it!

  • haha i laughed, thats kinda funny

  • the cats not attacking it cuz hes so mellowed out from the jack johnson :D

  • LOL that cat thinking lunch.

  • The cat was like "Hey what's up dude?"

  • sick em!

  • lol, 0:21 seconds - leg kick of comfiness!!

  • was the glider grooming the cat?! lol, my cats are scared of my gliders.

  • omg this is the cutest video ever

  • Cuteness!

  • CAT;Oh no not another one I ate 3 already this week GLIDER;Im sure my relatives are around here somewhere

  • rofl

  • that was sooooooooooooooooo cute!

  • ... it liked "it's" cat didn't it.

Cat didn;t really care eaither.... guess little sugar glider claws feel good.

  • sooooooo cute =)

  • don't worry about the cats the sugar glider had them under his control.

  • don't worry about the cats the dwarf hamster had them under his control.

  • Mine does that with my cats ans my dog. And don't worry about the person who called you those names, I volunteered for a zoo from the age of 12 to 18, got hired on as a keeper at 18, left when I was 26 to spend more time with my kids(which are all animals), because keeping is a 24/7 job, and I myself let my glider run around the house at night, and she plays with all the animals in the house except for the snake, which makes sense. My glider will call the dog to her so she can go for a ride.

  • wow im hearing alot that these guys are smart, but i have a siamese cat and can they travel on the bus with you?? lots of question

  • that is soooo cute!

  • plus they could die from shock, if you do tear them apart. that's what happened with my porr dove (i don't know if it's the same with gliders, though.)

  • I think with supervision and precautions there is nothing wrong with her cats and sugar gliders spending time. It's about knowing your pets well. Which slitherywoman does.

I've had a staffordshire bull terrier who was best friends with a rabbit and three cats that he only got introduced to in later life. I trusted him.

Now I have spaniels who I wouldn't trust with my gliders. Three cats who I wouldn't trust, but one cat that I know would love to snuggle with the gliders. All pets differ.

  • Thank you!

  • poor cat.

  • That's a good comment, imo.

  • Directed to Stabetha

  • That's not the natural order of things. Cats and dogs do not see gliders as food or enemies.

  • do sugar gliders smell as bad as ferrets? i heard they have some kind of odour...? can you reply please..thanks

  • It depends on your animal's personal hygiene, but usually ferrets smell much worse than gliders.

  • If you feed them bugs they do smell a little. There are special foods you can feed them instead of bugs, which makes them odorless. I can put my glider right under my nose and there is no bad smell whatsoever. Mealworms and insects are what make them smell.

  • gliders have the same glands as ferrets and skunks though the odor isn't as strong. if you don't clean it enough (at least once a week) then yeah, they'll get pretty smelly, which is your fault, not theirs. boys tend to smell worse than girls, unless you get them nuetered. then they don't smell as bad. clean their cages and wash their fur (ONLY CERTAIN SHAMPOOS!!! MAKE SURE IT WON'T TRY UP THEIR SKIN OR FUR, WHICH IS COMMON!!!!!) so yeah, hope that helped.

  • thx

  • No matter how much love and attention you've given to your animals, you never know what they'll do, you can only assume. To assume that the cats and gliders will always be friendly to eachother is ignorant. Even if you "discard and ignore" this post, it dosen't change how wrong you are.

  • just because you cannot get your animals to interact well with one another doesnt mean other people cant. when you actually care about your animals enough to take the correct precautions anything is possible. my california kingsnake shares his terrarium happily when we have visitors with corn snakes ball pythons etc. and in the wild he would try to EAT THEM.

  • example: if you spend lots of time with a shark... trying to make sure it's as tame as possible... I still wouldn't try dangling a baby in front of it to find out if it's tame.

  • That's a bad analogy

  • so beautiful, both of them!

  • lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol the sugar glider is like " i own you cat!" lol

  • I love Sugar Gliders, cats and that song! YAY!!

  • aww thar friends!!!!

  • jack johnson is awesome! intensly cute also. the sugar glider loved the fur!
