in my experience the cdrom preset looks better than h.264 in quicktime? youtube's compression is ok for slideshows, but will ruin anything with lots of movement and detail, like soccer matches. for google video i think 640/480 is needed? i've tried mpeg4 and avi formats, but there's a funny pumping effect in the pictures. too long to go into, but problems with exporting. don't really like h.264 or sorensen3.
