  • Its wonderful stopmotion animation.

With much love in the details.

I love it, you are great.

  • @BlueBoxProject Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy the details and think they work. I'm just an amateur, but I try to make the best of every film project.

  • The monster affects are excellent! you should make a film, about them! great job! :)

  • Do you have any gallery with all your welldone modell-creatures. I never get a good look at them the king is battling in the beginning.

  • @Moduloks For some reason, I can't post links directly in my replies. Go to my YouTube page instead and look at the loneanimator link to the left (a bit down). I have a photo of some of my puppets there. Haven't posted anything about the "King" film yet, but they were also used for "The Haunted Mill". I can also mail you images, if you're really interested.

  • bluworm, what software are you using? I am looking at different trial versions, but am not sure what to use. I have a mac which I think limits my choices. Thanks for your good work!

  • @locostbamboo I use PC, so I'm not that clear about the best choices for MAC, I'm afraid. For my animation I use StopMotionPro, for general editing Adobe Premiere and for compositing Adobe After Effects. StopMotionPro is only for PC, but the others must be available for MAC too (?)

  • AMAZING !!! Very well Richard

  • @william1562 Thanks, William! I hope the finished film will entertain you.

  • If this is just the trailer, the rest of it must be brilliant, even if it isn't I'll watch it!

  • @ritualpenguin That's the spirit!! It's not brilliant, but I think it's entertaining.

  • @bluworm In my humble opinion, entertaining = brilliant.

  • @ritualpenguin I agree. That attitude enables me to greatly enjoy movies of all ages and technologies.

  • It looks great! The puppets all looked fantastic. Even if it was unintentional, its a brilliant homage to Rays "Clash of the titans".

  • @TheCyberController Thanks! I never intended the film to be any particilar homage, but it does pay tribute to the Dynamation style. "Clash" was my first Harryhausen, so I guess it's made impressions in me that I'm not even aware of.

  • Good stuff. I made my first feeble attempt at animating. Need to buy the software so I can take more than 50 frames. Thanks for your inspiring work!

  • @locostbamboo Thanks! Yes; do get hold of some frame capture software. Once you get animating, you won't be able to stop.

  • Is the full video going to be on youtube?

  • @matthewmaki Yep! just waiting for the guy playing the "king" to deliver a narration.

  • @bluworm sweeeet

  • this looks EPIC!!!1 tell me were you inspired by any particular myth or legend or were theese just off the fly?

  • @rext08 Glad you liked it! Basically we stole the better part of the story from the Gilgamesh epic. It's a mix of Sumerian and Babylonian influences.

  • wow this is fantastic! this is like something Ray Harryhausen would have done AMAZING JOB!

  • @kkmoviechannel That's a very nice comment. Thanks!!

  • @bluworm how did you make the puppets at 0:35 and 0:53 and i saw that you used the same octapuse and same actor who almost got eaten by it!

  • @wilsonrussell44 If you go to my channel page, you'll find four short films showing how the demon puppets for this film was made. It's actually only about the making of one puppet, but the approach is the same for all of them. And yes, -that's the octopus puppet I've posted a film about before. It was actually built for this film, but used in another first. But the guy fighting it here is a different actor.

  • Whoaa !! Very nice.

I'm very happy to see your creatures in motion after all the time i've been reading your blog.

I can't wait to see the completed movie.

  • @B3RS3RK3R666 Thanks! I can't wait to see it either, not to mention the people who helped out and acted in it.

  • It looks like it'll be an interesting movie. There are so many stop motion creatures! That's what I'm looking forward too! I can't wait to see it!

  • @FandSproduction I hope it'll be interesting. It has its fair share of flaws, but also enough weirdness in it to keep people watching. There are 12 different puppets in the film.

  • the effects look terrific...it looks like a very enjoyable film...I will be watcing closely for the finished version....

  • @castlegardener Thanks! Hopefully, it'll be finished early December, or so. Still got a narration to record.

  • Yes! I can tell this film is going to be great - love the sets and creatures! I'm glad you stayed with this film. Whatever the difficulties, it looks like it will be worth it.

  • @StopmoNick Well... I think it'll be enjoyable. The difficulties are there in plain sight in the finished film. But it is what it is -an honest amateur effort, with some interesting scenes of things probably never shown in a film before. It's time to let it go, and go on to the next one.

  • your compositing and matching up colours are getting better, to be honest in your earlier stuff it was holding you back, and distracted from the *real* work.

    This looks pretty great though

  • @cartoonmarc Very good point! I am getting better at compositing, color matching and other effects. I make films in order to learn to make films. Which means that the films I post here will have their fair share of flaws and mistakes. Every film is a result of "the best I could do this time around", and this one is no exception. But I hope that people will at least be entertained by them.

  • @bluworm it's the best way to learn :)

  • looks like it's going to be epic!

  • @terrymation It's backyard-epic, with home-made monsters and bargain-bin chroma key. But I hope it will be entertaining.

  • @bluworm you've entertained me already = job done

  • I love the stopmotion, it really gives it a Harryhausen feel.

  • @Unnamed0909 Thanks! This is my first real Harryhausen admiration project. It was a lot of hard work, but really fun to do, so there will probably be more of the same, eventually.

  • This is going to be awesome! Can't wait to see the film!

  • @Gragorathegiantsnowb Thanks! This film is a real amateur project; Make no mistake about it. But I think there are some interesting scenes in it.

  • this looks amazing stuff blueworm looking forward to the movie 10 **********

    bernie

  • @mujawooja Thanks, Bernie! The film is a big experiment in what I could do with a blue screen. I couldn't do as much as I hoped, but it still turned out quite well. Maybe you would be interested in adding an animated character or creature to a project of yours? I'd be happy to help.

  • When you were saying, that you have few more projects up your sleeve, I knew, that something epic is comming:) Looking forward for the movie!

  • @adfdasfadfdaaaa Thanks! Yes, this one is finally getting finished, but I have actually shot footage for a few more films. I've learned to shoot when people have the time, and save it for when I have time to edit. (I have very patient friends).

  • This looks amazing! Cannot wait to see the film :)

  • @Winstoni94 Thanks! The film is a mix of fascinating scenes and strange flaws. In short; An amateur film.

  • Fan vad proffsigt! ;)

  • @24fRaMeSps001 Tack!

  • Very awesome.

  • @WhatDaHellicopter Glad you like it so far. Hope you like the whole film too!

  • Ser jättebra ut! :)

  • @TheSilleGuy Tackar & bugar!
