When we didnt have these fancy farm equipment, we had to rely on hard work and labor. If you have 3-4 kids, when they are of age they will help you work the fields. That was tought to every generation, and when we started moving away from the fields we still had children because that was "instinct".

Yes learning about other cultures is important, but we have so much immigration that i rarely have to leave my state.
