I used to work in the Mass Highway Department and I tried to get a certain rapid set cement that was designed to be a base cement for rapid setting concrete to be verified in the lab with concrete cylinders with sand and coarse aggregates (C-39). Turns out the clowns who wrote the specification for the cement called for the 2" neat mortar cubes (C-109) method instead. Of course the cubes failed! Dosen't matter that the cylinders passed with flying colors. If they don't meet their own spec...
i live in medford and physically seen them take down the Valley St southbound side and the Riverside southbound side....VERY COOL AND WORTH SEEING...the last weekend is this weekend (8/12 - 8/14)
