  • You say "Sometimes, you must make sacrifices to play guitar" If I'm playing guitar I'm not "sacrificing" anything, Playing guitar is what i love to do and what i enjoy doing. Just saying.

  • @endlesstutorials Wow, cool awesome

  • I'd invite you to MY party:)

  • 2 words. Great video!!

  • 2:39 hey ,dont practice in front of the computer ;))

  • all that is great but you re not gonna make a living by playing guitar (even though this would be my dream ^^) so you can t spend hours and hours practicing all different styles...

  • I like this guitar. Do you use it in any tutorials?

  • Hey Bobby, I want to thank you for all your videos over this medium. I have learned a great deal from you, Thank you man.You have been a great inspiration to me and several of my buddies. Please keep on playing and teaching guitar. You have made a big difference to a great many guitarist. Don't quit, We really enjoy your videos, Thanks again!!

  • @ZukiBiker13 thank you! ( and your friends )

  • @AmigoFiell, Electrics are generally softer strings and the frets are flater in most cases than an acoustic, not to mention the amplification helps with lengthening tones! just to start. There are alot of variables but you get the point.

  • i didnt know that the google translator works so good lol

  • Why is it easier to play electric than acoustic guitar?

  • @AmigoFiell the action on an electric is less, meaning you have to push harder on an acoustic for a better sound, this means it builds up your finger strength :)

  • A great guitar player is totally different than a musician. A musician can read music, write music, knows theroy, chord structures, all that and thats the surface! Dont forget scales:p

  • i have the SAME strap.

  • @BobbyCrispy you are my iddle:D

  • Hi Bobby great tute as always but I would also say to new learners is I know it sounds a daft thing to do but dont tune your guitar all the time. Leave it be and concentrate on the music and try and put the notes in tune with quick little string bends. A beginer will quickly gather finger strength and a whole bunch of knowledge without realising it.

    Peace

  • You're a great teacher Bobby. Keep the lessons coming. I enjoy them.

and I find it impossible to believe that you were a 'geek' in High School: IMpossible !

we think ur the best guitar player and teacher in the world

in fact and if it makes u feel better im a bit of a geek at my school :)

  • You're doing a lot of beginners a great service, Bob. Especially the ones that don't like to take advice from their dads. You reinforce things I tell my boy!

  • doesnt matter if you were a geek in highschool now you can tell them that youre a famous guitar player that youre all over the internet and you rub rub it in thier face ....suck on that (to his highschool classmates)

  • OK

  • Yo dude thanks your lessons help a lot!

  • u rock bro , i want to play guitar just like u :D

  • Hey, Bobby- Don't let all of these rude asses get to you. By giving their stupid, immature insults, they just SHOW, that YOU are about 300 times BETTER of a person, than THEY are. YOU are taking your Free Time, trying to do something POSITIVE, for OTHER PEOPLE. What are THEY doing? ..Are the things you are saying common sense, that most musicians should already know> Yes, but you'd be SURPRISED, how many people DON'T. Especiallly your Number 10!

  • @luapsel77 ok thanks! :-)

  • @BobbyCrispy

    FUCK!

  • @dwiqpl i have an underbite :-(

  • @BobbyCrispy No worries, Mr. Crispy. I got an underbite too. Its all good. :)

  • bobby thank you so much for all your doing your videos help me so much ive been playing for 11 months and until 3 months ago it was so frustrating but when i got frustrated i just watched some of your videos your videos are the only thing that taught me to play because i cant afford lessons or anything like that i am realy poor now i learn alot by ear and i am getting better and better each day now when i play t guitar center i get so many compliments and get occasional band offers thank you! :)

  • @BobbyCrispy Whatever. What do women like more? A crisp jawline or a guy who can finger minors all day?

  • Comment removed

  • @dwiqpl bit rude

  • @dwiqpl wow bruh shows what u think of people doush

  • @dwiqpl wow bruh dont hate

  • im starting to get the by ear part, iv reconised what chords to use in some songs

  • TY Bro :).

  • thanks bobby this is really helpfull

  • If I can make another suggestion, learning the piano and the guitar is a great way to learn....the piano will give you the theory, scales, etc and its easier to see on the piano. The other is that the reason to learn theory is to develop your ear, as Mr. Bobby says, thats really #1, everyone, anyone who is good plays by ear, NO EXCEPTIONS. The other is that RHYTHM is really, really important......if you have great time you can get away with a lot. :)

  • dude you are awesome dont listen to them!

  • thanks brooo!!!!

  • THanks for the upload man, your vcideos are really helpfull!!!

  • Really Nice that you translated the several Tips into German to. I can understand english but that helped me alot because i didnt got it! Thanks for this and thank you for beeing on earth and getting us play guitar!

    THANKS!

  • 1:15 describes my life atm :L xD but it pays off, cause i've made friends and impressed people through my playing xD

  • @Chrisalchin It's a tip dumbass not a fact.

  • Mr Bob is just giving some tips that are Facts to be honest.. he isn't talking shit

  • tip 1, learn to read music? really? most of the best guitarists in history havent been able to read music mate....

  • great guitarist? 3:40 minutes? = imposible!!!

  • he sounds like a good guy ... like 40yrs old vergin.

  • how to be a great whore: suck copious quantities of dick

  • The best advice for practicing guitar is this:

Practice constantly on the cheapest most shitty actioned acoustic beater with the heaviest strings you can find.

Everything else is butter after that.

  • @wackywankavator Ha Ha, no shit.

  • @wackywankavator Yeah but most people won't stick with it if they tear there fingers to shreds everytime they play.

  • @wackywankavator Yeaah ... Youre Right My Man .... If You dont learn Bar chords In One Of those Guitars ... Let me Tell You That Youre FUCKED ...

  • number 4 zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • thx very useful

  • Lol 1.20 xD

  • I like Bobby. Hes an unassuming nice guy.

  • My niche, rythm, Always been exceptional at it.. never succeded as a lead though..

  • Sorry.. But music can't be learned through books. It is an emotion

  • @ujjuslash

Music theory can be learned from books and is very beneficial.

I went from arsing about not having a clue to getting my head in the game and being a competent learner within a year. Without the theory Id still be strumming away at chords not having a frickin clue about chord structure, chord progression or scales.

And music isnt an emotion. Its a means to deliver something which affects emotion. Its the means and method that matters to someone learning. Then you can hope to affect

  • great tips, but awkward as fuck delivery!

  • Your videos are great man keep em comming!

    !

  • 10 Tips:

    practice.practice.practice.practice.practice.practice.practice.practice.practice.jam.

  • Bobby youre cool , thanks for the lessons! :)

  • I like the way you think ur just like me lol

  • 3:30 thanks for the very useful information, i will probably need it in the future sometime.

  • here's my 10 tips: train, train, train, train, train, train, train, train, train, train

  • @potatojuice321 loving music also helps XDD

  • @Lanakikuta yep!

  • this crushed my spirit that i made progress, it made me realize that i've been doing the wrong things for a while, like moving the strings with your fingers is one thing i realized i can't do... now i'm SOMEWHAT back to square one. Also sorry for being so negative...

  • @DaRockeet What Do You Mean "Moving The Strings With My Fingers"

  • @Hillbilly4994 i mean as in some guitar players push the strings with their fingers to change the sound, you can find it in a lot of videos

  • @DaRockeet what are you having trouble with on the guitar, I'm Also A Guitar Player too

  • @Hillbilly4994 changing the position of my fingers takes a long time, and other miscellaneous problems i can't work on because my amp plug suddenly broke while i was playing. Good thing I have a fallback plan! :)

  • @DaRockeet changing the position of your fingers is easy, it took me about 15-20 mins, to learn what I know On Guitar

  • @Hillbilly4994 I randomly learned speed picking just the other day on accident... yeah...

  • @DaRockeet good job

  • You need more emotion in this.Lol But good tips! thanks!

  • Thanks for the tips, I do some of them myself, invented them intuitively.

But I'd also add that playing SCALES is very important, for nearly everything - hearing, conditioning fingers of the left hand, orientation on the fretboard etc.

  • sucks becuase ur not great..

  • I sacrifice my neighbor who yell at me and call the police when i'm playing guitar and now i learn to play in no time

  • captors (made a correction so the grammar police don't arrest me)

  • he looks like a hostage and his captives are making him do this against his will

  • @renhoek3 I just lol'd so hard to that comment! you fucking read my mind!

  • @renhoek3 i think it's his wife that makes him do this

  • i practice several hours a day every day.... to me guitar is an addiction....

  • Are you from Spain by chance?

  • jesus im crap i cant read music , i can play loadsa stuff but i dont know what im doing, im crap on guitar im giving up .

  • @Ryboner1 Don't man. If you really love guitar, keep playing. I had the benefit of having guitar in school, so I learned about music there, but really, it's not that hard. Just get a book from the library or something. Put some time into it and see what happens. If you seriously can't understand it, don't worry. Lots of artists don't know stuff about music theory. It sure helps, but you don't need an immense understanding of music theory to be successful. Need an example? Kurt Cobain

  • @auroraman56 tru dat to what Ryboner1 said.... plus Kurt Cobain kills ass.... the savior for rock n' roll.....
