Before competitive tf2 was played with nocrits, the soldiers crit % was based on how much damage he was doing.. Since reptile did so much damage, his crit % was just that high. And today hes still one of the greatest soldiers of the game.

Guy's the reason he has so many crits is because the way tf2 handled crits back then was the more damage you do, the more of a chance you have to get a crit and back then it was around 20% but now it is only 10%

That was how the game was "balanced" during that time. The crit chance % has since been lowered, but when you're accurate with your shots those random crit rockets are that much more devastating when you get one.

@lordchingsta Two long years ago, in competitive Team Fortress 2, crits were allowed. Reptile's skill allowed him to crit more often because of his constant butchering of the enemy team. If you didn't know already, your crit chance increases for a little bit the more kills you get. Reptile only crit so much becuase his skill ontop of his crits constantly maxed his crit rate. 1/4 or 1/5 rockets crit back then at the highest.

Your crit chance increases if you've dealt a lot of damage within the last 10 seconds. He's firing a lot of crits because he's been keeping up long streaks

@lordchingsta He isn't getting crits. In old TF2 demos it showed crits as they would have appeared even when crits is turned off. Look at the kill icons when he gets a crit kill and you'll notice it's a regular crit icon.

They have since fixed it but in old TF2 recorded demos showed crits. Most of these clips are from CEVO-P which has never used random crits.
