Hawaii didn't become a state overnight, there were years (5+) in the making, getting everything together so they would be in compliance with US standards and the birth certificates was one of the things that had to comply.

Everybody BORN in Hawaii in a hospital after it was a U.S. state has a long form birth certificate PERIOD.

If born prior to that the best anyone could get was a COLB for ID purposes, to get an ID to vote or SS etc. after becoming a US state.

I JUST SPOTTED SOMETHING VERY OBVIOUS! Notice the left side of cirtificate where curved, the black lines follow the curve inward & down. Now look at the darker green horizontal bars around the black lines, they go straight across, they don't follow the curve like the lines do. Once you spot them and know what to look for, they'll jump out at you.

I didnt even wash out the contrast like he did. its even more damning in full color. If you superimpose one "obama" over the other with layers, and set them to subtract, the "B" is just black. pure black. The other letters show the small differences you'd expect. You did NOT check this. that was a lie.

@BalmungSama0 I just tried it at 360dpi and you're right. This is because at 360dpi the original pixel boundaries don't line up with the new resolution. The best way to do it is to import at the original document resolution (72dpi, or 612x792). Any higher resolution is really unnecessary. I just did select, copy, paste, right click on paste layer and select new layer, then set the layer mode to subtract, then move it in place. Its essentially impossible for those to "B's" to be identical.

@BalmungSama0 Ok, so no. when you scan a document into a PDF file its not stored as vector graphics like characters or lines or vector images made in Acrobat or Illustrator would be. Its stored as a bitmap (or some compressed version thereof). And yes, the resolution does make a difference for where the pixel boundaries line up. I tried it at 400dpi and it still works. Rather than me talk about prime numbers and factorization and a bunch of BS as to why, just try it again, ok?

Hello...the PDF file DOES have layers. Maybe you should call your local printer. As a professional print designer, I use Illustrator and Acrobat for my print files, and guess what? The PDF has layer. You have to open the file in Illustrator to see them.

Oh, open the "official" file in Photoshop® and guess what? No layers.

A WH/IT person took a digital camera and it came out as a standard JPEG (no layers). Then they used a JPEG to PDF converter (available free on Internet). Then they posted on WH website. Why PDF? Everybody uses PDF because Adobe Acrobat Reader is free and self-installing. PDF's have patented method for preserving original format independently.

I can see that letters and numbers are from more than one typewriter.  I can see that the date stamp numerals have been tampered with. @youbeduped Yeah I did 5 years of University Training actually, Trained in AutoCad 2D and 3D, Adobe products such as CS4 (now cs5) and I've spent the last 5 years hiring out my talents to architects and also run my own business in the 'Real world'. That said I think you already know that I know Illustrator is a manipulation program(from wiki) illustrator allows multiple overlapping vector layers to easily merge or join and a revamped gradient tool allowing for more in-depth manipulation.

@Tubeistdan Certainly with grayscale the chance of having 2 letters identical, would be exponentially smaller, considering the amount of possible colors per pixel. This just looks like a flattened and much lower resolution copy of it, not higher, where everything is now pixelated. Notice you can't even make out a pattern in the background here, just a light green tint. Image quality has been lost.

The WH pdf has blacked-in stuff like the loops in small e's. It would be impossible for the ABC version to open those up into proper e's from the WH version since that version has permanently destroyed the bit data in those regions. The only way that could happen would be if the ABC version was using smart OCR analysis and actually re-creating the e's as they are supposed to look.

I'm not a little confused. I'm a LOT confused. Now we have TWO Obama COLBs. But there's no doubt about the video here. The WH version has those identical 'B's, and if the ABC is more original, there is too much greyscale difference between the two 'B's to resolve down into identical ones we see in the video. Very improbable statistically. If you follow my tortured prose.

Of course, with what looks like a regular flat scan at a fairly low resolution (the ABC version), it's really hard to see anything that would be a definite manipulation... maybe experts could, but I am certainly no expert. When it was scanned, it was put through a program that makes the faded letters more readable. Which they did not try to hide that they did that. Or, Obama is a space alien. Whatever you want to believe.

I'm pretty sure I know a lot more about computers and graphics than most people looking at this video and probably you too.The letters in this document when matched as closely as possible with another of the same letter, look to have probably at LEAST 50 pixels not matching. These B's are pixel to pixel identical. Typical person in denial...

Ok, I know a lot of what I think is going on these days has plausible deniability, but wow... I just opened this thing up and compared those letters myself since the low resolution of the video does slightly distort the pixels. Those 2 B's are identical. When an image goes from anti-aliased to bit-mapped, 2 similar images can become very close, but judging by the amount of pixel differences in the other letters, there is no way one letter would be pixel perfect. This definitely has been altered.

If you go to Factcheck, to the 2008 submission of Obamas COLB, you will see a photo of the Hawian Register Seal with signature. Then if you go to Obama's birth certificate you will notice the seal is identical to the one shown for the COLB, what I mean is the signature is the same, and the positioninig of the signature is exactly the same within the seal area. So, its either a exact copy or the Register does NOT actually sign within the seal.
