Squarenix is going the wrong direction with the FF series... Sad to see its not the same as it used to be... Trust me, i been a FF fan and played almost all of them throught my years and im almost 30 now. Back on the snes,PSone,PS2 was the good ol'days... Im enjoying the FF After Years on the Wiiware right now and almost finished. Anyone else agree with me on on what i think? I sure miss Squaresoft.

Everyone I talk to is smashing this game; it looks like a lot of fun. I tend not to like the FF games, but this looks like a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the part where he chucked the sheep; I can imagine sheep bowling in this game.

i think they've kind of taken a step in the wrong direction with this game. whilst the story and graphics might be a lot stronger then previous titles the appeal of crystal chronicls for me has always been the designing your own character. ring of fates lost a lot of this but there was still an element in armour whereas this game doesn't even seem to have that. i think they should let set main characters to the main series and keep the custonisation.

Say what you want. Crystal Chronicles was a different take at Final Fantasy. This is a different take on CC, but I also see a lot of similarities. They seem to be sticking to basic CC ideas but moving much further away from the traditional FF idea.

Okay I am a huge fan of the FF:CC series, but why does this look so none FF:CC. Don't get me wrong, this trailer is epic and cool (besides the music in the beginning). Now I don't mind futuristic stuff, but it seems like all the fantasy elements are gone now. The thing that bothers me the most is that I have not even seen one sword or old school weapon in the trailer.

I doubt it since there isn't any character design or job choosing, but the game is mainly for just one player. Which I don't mind, but the multiplayer part covers with FFCC: Echoes of Time. Which I plan on getting also.

square enix announced that crystal beares will have no multiplayer. hopefully the game can make up for it.multiplayer was kinda the main idea of the origonal crystal chronicles

That really looks awsome in some kind. But it seems not to be a "real" chrystal chronicles like ring of fates, echoes of time or the classic version on game cube. It looks a bit like a final fantasy VII in the crystal chronicles universe. On the one hand that could be really cool, on the other hand the have to take care of not destroying their universe. it looks a bit like a spin off of a spin off.

Two things are crossing my mind:

1. What have they done to my beloved series? The gamecube version was AWESOME and now it's this?! Why? Why not just... make the gameplay a little more deep without the over the top approach?!

AND

2. Wow... The gameplay looks like it might ACTUALLY be fresh and interesting... Disappointment in changes aside, it looks like it might be an odd blend of a platformer and an RPG... *coughWHATKHIISHOULDHAVEBEENco­ugh*

But REMEMBUH! They DO have a sorta nostalgic take on the original CC for the DS and Wii....titled "Echoes of Time". That might be nice to have.  They probably figured that because they're changing this one so much, they'd give the fans a more classic version that they wouldn't have to spend years with making.

no that's Echoes of Time which is already out in Japan. This leaked vid is from Crystal Bearers, we on't know yet the release date, but imo it looks pretty pretty awesome.

Wow, this game looks pretty good, heck slightly better than XIII. It feels like a true FF game, XIII feels like a hybrid between the Matrix, killzone 2 and [insert generic Anime here]. Really great, the part at the end looks epic! YAHOO!

There will be great weapons! In an old interview the developers said that you will be able to craft weapons and the awesome things is that any change on the armors and clothes of the characters will be visible on the character himself.

I remember it exactly as i told you. They said that you can build weapons and armor and when your character wears them they will be visible on him! Cant you see in the trailer the part where he is wearing shorts and a T-Shirt? I mean he must have bought them in the game right?

Yeah but the game is supposed to be played by moving objects, Layle is in possession of a crystal that allows him to do so, as is the Yuke Antagonist chick, I don't see why weapons would be necessary.
