i agree with you. Richie is one of if not the main song writer for the band. Jon and him create amazing vocals in their songs. they depend on eachother, Richie needs Jon and Jon needs Richie. they would be good on their own i suppose, but together, they make something that is almost impossible to re-create

Exactly correct, however, he supposedly pretended to have Richie there, hence when you hear the back ground vocals and guitar playing, it's almost that Sambora is there, but is not. It's like have Hall and Oates, without Oates. Kindof strange, however, Jonny Boy wrote the song, sang it, including background vocals, while including Randy Jackson's Bass playing (..ie..American Idol Judge) and sang the song at a vital point where he was aging (smoking, included) and losing his voice. Was Awesome
