  • Osu, I really like all your videos, you are a clear and concise teacher with charisma. thank you for your uploads :)

  • I love this guy, I have been watching his videos for the last three days.

  • @fraser2110 same here, you can see he knows how to teach well.

  • I THINK THIS IS NOT AIKIDO...IT'S MORE ON WING CHUN

  • ive seen this same drill from a kajukenbo master

  • Hu bud drill is from FMA it is a knife drill

  • When you're teaching you should wear a tiny little top hat.

  • fantasyland!... This guy would be lucky to get out of the way if he was fast enough!

Notice the speed of the atacker...really slow! Three moves to defend one blow? ahahahahahaha no chance!

    Keep dreaming!

  • The bottom line is,knowledge of the art absent application thereof is of no avail!

  • nice clip, though it seems to be this is such a big series of movements to deflect. I mean, yokomen can easily be seen as a hook punch. Go in early and block it, breaking his balance, instead of making three or four blocking motions. No disrespect for the sensei, it just seems like a longer then necessary road.

  • something different is explained here. both ways work. also, both ways can work in the aiki spirit or not, but only with lots of practice.

  • Nice technique, deflecting blocks looks like wing chun. Very nice aikido. thanks!

  • now thats what you can call lesson.

  • Thanks mentalfactor. I do my best.

  • Looks a bit like Ving Tsun Kung Fu. Even though it clearly has Aikido influences.

  • nice vedios..keep going I m looking for every new vedio for u..i really hope that one day i can meet u and teach me Akidio and be one of ur student Mr.Gary..

  • where does the drill come from style wise? or is it yours? lol super cool fancy ninja technique

  • Heck no it's not my drill. I'm not sure if I've ever come up with something original. It's a drill I learned back in 1993 while studying some silat. Silat is cooooool stuff, very wicked indeed. There style of "gunting" is really pressure point work.

I kinda thought I said the "super cool fancy ninja technique" too fast for anyone to catch it. Guess not. :)

  • Important lesson. Thank you, and please for more.

  • Hm interesting...

  • yeah, I'll admit that this one is a little different. Honestly, I was working with the whole "close-quarter-combat" idea. What to do when you're in close and things don't go as planned. The trapping drill itself is useful in developing hand-eye coordination and hand speed which is something aikidoka sometimes lack in. Iriminage just kinda came out of it.
