  • I had this c.d. once upon a time. If had known it was rare I never would have loaned it out (it was never returned. what a shock, right?). It has some really great tracks but Dave's track really stands out (IMO)!

  • its an awsome riff!!!! can you imagine the things they came up with and never realsed monster of music you can make 4 or 5 cds just on songs they have'nt released they rock!

  • @minisight2000 yes. Most of these riffs are improv, which proves talent to make up a song on the spot.

  • incredible

  • if you've ever heard the early live versions of mother father, this is essentially the outro

  • Sounds like Mother Father

  • Yes, it evolved from Mother Father.

  • i dont think this is dave, i know pretty much everything hes done and ive never heard this, not even his style!!!

  • Its on "Sounds of Wood and Steel, Vol. 3." Check it out

  • @fan1026 ownage.

  • If you check out the Sounds of Wood and Steel released by the Taylor guitars company, you'll see that Litho Blitho was recorded by Dave. And if you listen carefully, it does sound like Mother Father.

  • The riff is exactly that of the Mother Father bridge/outro, and, in fact, the words "litho" and "blitho" mean mother and father in an African language. Also worth noting about the title is that it was recorded in Studio Litho, which is Stone Gossard's studio in Seattle ("litho" is a Greek root word for "stone").

  • @ser1988 very well spoken. Dave is, in fact, south african.

  • so.. this song is about mom, and dad, and stones, or stone gossard's mom or stoned studio from stone gossard stoned mother or a riff about some other song about dave mathews, I can hear better when I get stoned, and I'm right now at my mom's.

    Nice riff though ;)

  • obviously not

  • Dude you clearly don't know pretty much everything, and this is clearly what Mother Father sounded like before it was put on the Everyday album.

  • @mjdude10589

well excuse me then, i just thought it sounded more like tim's style than daves. but yes i do no pretty much all of his stuff

  • @jamie69247 this is the bridge in Mother Father, that is on Everyday, if you dont know that I dont think you have any right whatsoever to say you know everything hes done....k thanks

  • @jamie69247

    Apparently you don't...

  • @jamie69247 i guess you never heard mother father

  • insane itd be cool to see if they could put lyrics to this... but its even great on its own

  • where are these posters from and how do u get them?

  • what a nice melodic into/ outro

  • love this. I want to learn how to play guitar like this

  • I've never heard this one, pretty cool. It reminds me of what you would hear at a drunken fiasco during the dark ages!

  • Battle of Evermore?

  • similar but different tempo

  • nice call.. def hear it

  • very nice
