  • the game looks really boring - what exactly do you do? just take over other nations?

  • @RapidEyesCream Your aim is gaining world domination. You can choose how: The military way (conquering other civs), the way of science (building a space rocket flying to the next star), the way of diplomacy (be voted to the world's leader by smart politics) or the cultural way (fully develop 5 branches of politics and build the Utopia-project). But also other Civs choose a way to win and follow it so you need to form alliances and fight wars. You will never need to play a game two times

  • that's a good game

  • I can conquer the world!!!! HAHAHAHA Take that montezuma!! here comes giant death robot destroying ur EMPIRE HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA... 2 much civ....2 much...

  • This game is off my list, next time when you make a game for us; make sure that we do the fighting!!! we don't want to see some animation, we want to do the bloody war.

  • @021music i agree 100% lame 2010 game considering that total war series added battle simulation land and naval this one has only resources and upgrades management nothing more.huge failure hugeeee

  • Yes FINALLY because i hated those large stacks of doom. I always hated being sneaked attack at one time by a stack of 30+ units all at one time. i mean by stacking the right and enough number of units, you literally could go on a rampage. Not much strategy in that. So im glad they incorporated this one unit per tile feature, although I woulda liked atleast 2-5 units per tile a lil better but yeah with this new feature, noobs can't just stack a butt load of units an say they are beast.

  • das was in dieser wlt fehlt, ist ein spiel mit der freiheit von civilazion und einem kapfsystem wie total war

  • i want it soo bad!!!!

  • This looks like a great, except that you have to run it through FUCKING STEAM! Steam does not work, when you buy a game cd you shouldn't have to run it through a website. Also, they should release it on the mac at the same time as the PC, but that's my individual problem, Steam is everyones.

  • @jwolfson1233 I agree, I think waiting for the mac release is a marketing ploy to make us buy two... I'm probably going to torrent the PC version and play it on boot camp, then when the mac one comes out I'll buy a CD copy.

  • instead of art deco theme they should of had themes for all eras in time like from barbarian -it looks like charcoal on cave wall to years in the future alpha centuari would look like some kind of crystal digital display or somthing ,but yay civ 5 is here!

  • i hate this game somuch i lay it everyday damn you sid

  • sid meier you are the best.

  • Finally!

    No more stacks of doom!

  • can any one here play civ 4 on a huge map and not having performance trouble in the late game?

  • What i would love to see is more units! we've had pretty much the same in all four now... And i think 99% of Civ 4 expns were crap, so im hoping this will be alot better. Even though i moan, i still love Civ 4 and cant stop playing

  • will the maps be as big as they were in civ 4?

  • still have an original civ2 hanging on my wall, civ2 > all strat games

  • oh yeah, all that complex stuff ... except they took out religion. duh.

also, what's up with the blurry t-shirt at 4:22?

  • @aseglkj

the t shirts blurry because it will be a brand that they would not leagily be able to show :)

  • One of My Favorite Games

  • civ3>all

  • 1 unit per tile kills the game

  • @vassilischr Disagree. Maybe even 10 units per empire would be good. Civilization has become a mediocre teen game from an awesome game it was in 1991. It hasn't developed historical and societal accuracy or the combat system. AI would build 20 units in stacks and you were supposed to watch as your system cluttered with low memory, and the game as your city fought one unit at a time, taking forever. It is obvious something needed to be done with the limitless unit count. It helps unit's RPG too

  • The maps are restricted by unit number, because unless Meyer fixes it, their count grows in proportion to the map size. The maps should actually be immense, tiny should be the same as the current huge and new huge should be so large that it would take forever to circumvent the globe. And a nationalistic history of the mankind is a simple delusion.

  • @teemuruskeepaa I agree, what the fuck are the thinking?

  • @vassilischr Then you can go play civ 4 and stack your 40 macemen.

  • @TheShadowComrade I ll propably stick to civ4

  • THANK THE HEAVENLY FATHER, finally a bloody video without blue fucking tabs stuck all over it for the whole fucking video so I couldnt see shit.
