Seriously, French Special Ops/Anti-terrorist teams are top notch. And the food in their mess halls is quite good.

But fast roping has to be -- fast (3 on a line at a time). This wasn't their best. But I can guarantee that this poor display was because some bean counter boss said slow down, be careful, and don't get hurt. One should train the way one fights.

Well, this was a training session...and the ship was moving. Better to be safe and practice safety than to rush it and potentially get someone hurt or killed. The French SF guys were really nice. I bought them all ship coins and one of them gave my his cover, which is the green berret at the beginning. I still have it. :)
