I recommend you get at least a 4 or 8 GB Memory Stick Duo. If you have the money, go with the 16 GB one, or just stick with 4 or 8 GB. If you want to get a Memory Stick Duo for a great price, get one from a third party brand, such as Sandisk, or just order one online. If you get one directly from Sony, it will be a little more expensive than a third party one, but you will get this technology called Mark2, with which you will get faster saving and deleting times. Hope this helps!

Yes, they do sell the 3rd party brands at Best Buy. Unfortunately, this camcorder does not have a pause button. You can only start and stop recordings with the movie button.
