honestly im not so sure of it right now. there are a plethora of great up and coming fighters but few possess the fan base the DLH has. This cant be determined on a matter of skill but rather that of charisma..that person has to have something that transcends boxing and will draw the attention of mainstream fans...im not really sure which fighter has that just yet. who knows but with as many great fighters and fights coming out so far the possibilities are endless

I have every fight of Dawson ever since he beat Ian Gardner on showtime lol, so of course i have seen this entire fight about 16 times. Tarver has slowed down, and hasn't beat any young champions for a few years. How will he beat young champion that's a better boxer than he is, faster, punches harder and just has more weaponry. The only way Tarver can wins is if he gets lucky and lands a crazy punch, and counting against a weak chin will not always work, just look at Wlad Klitscho.
Dawson was ready for Tarver even when he beat Eric Harding and that was when he was more vulnerable. Tarver is good but not great. The only way he has of winning is knocking Dawson out. honestly im not so sure of it right now. there are a plethora of great up and coming fighters but few possess the fan base the DLH has. This cant be determined on a matter of skill but rather that of charisma..that person has to have something that transcends boxing and will draw the attention of mainstream fans...im not really sure which fighter has that just yet. who knows but with as many great fighters and fights coming out so far the possibilities are endless

No champions, mixed martial arts gave white boys a chance to show their toughness because boxing you need your legs and rhythem and it favor blacks more. Calzaghe is almost 37 years old and just fighting his peers (Roy Jones is 40 and Hopkins 43) who he should have got the chance to fight years ago. There was no money in these fights then as to Roy Jones Jr and Hopkins Calzaghe was an unknown but still a relative risk to fight. Why would they put themselves on the line when there's no money in it.

The USA has no stars anymore. Lennox was good but Calzaghe is better, and why should the champ go to the USA to prove himself?.Mayweather doesn't, half the other US boxers just about leave state.
Hatton lost when he went up a weight,he rules at 140.I don't like Haye but he's the next best thing in the heavies.
Calzaghe would and hopefully will decide to smash up Dawson, he's not good enough to beat Joe, you can't watch this and think Joe couldn't deal with this guy? he'd be all over him.

the us has a lot of stars and some on the rise. and when i talk about the us i dont mean united states born i mean that they fight in the usa and that this is their main camp. bhop is still a star, andre berto is a star, nate campbell, vernon forrest, paul williams, steve cunningham, and eventho he lost, kelly pavlik is a star. hatton lost when he went up in weight against a great US BOXER and beat an american version of prince naseem and that took an american trainer to break his habits.

I have every fight of Dawson ever since he beat Ian Gardner on showtime lol, so of course i have seen this entire fight about 16 times. Tarver has slowed down, and hasn't beat any young champions for a few years. How will he beat young champion that's a better boxer than he is, faster, punches harder and just has more weaponry. The only way Tarver can wins is if he gets lucky and lands a crazy punch, and counting against a weak chin will not always work, just look at Wlad Klitscho.

Dawson was ready for Tarver even when he beat Eric Harding and that was when he was more vulnerable. Tarver is good but not great. The only way he has of winning is knocking Dawson out. I personally favor the young, fresher and more skilled fighter. Dawson has a shaky chin but Tarver will actually have to catch it flush and i can't see that, hes doesn't have a pressure style. Dawson by wide UD.
