This is interesting seeing that these types of things are going on in iraq and afghanisation due to your governments attrocites, yet bush has killed over a 1 million people in iraq alone and displaced millions in afghanistan. Why dont you see whats going down with israel and the palestines thats the reality of things.
wow, its interesting the stuff that goes on in the world and no one ever comes aware of until its over and the people are dead and gone, the stuff people are to scared to act apon and save lives is sad. They truly need help.
I like this video, it's very sad and informative, I deduct you made an A+. Great video
Greater atrocities are committed here than in Iraq. and yet we invaded Iraq for "democracy." We can't pick and choose who to help or save, can we? That is not moral.
@bundangbear We didnt just invade Iraq for the sake of democracy, we invaded the middle east as a sake of our security in the US. It was not a matter of who we choose to help or save - its a matter of saving American lives and protecting the US. Twin towers, gone - and even the pentagon was almost destroyed. What were we supposed to do? Sit at a table and talk with Saddam Hussein?
Simply present the facts, show the images, and make a difference.
If you go around and ask people if they know of Darfur, most of them will have no idea what it is. We're ignorant. We only pay attention to things in the world that affect us - iraq and the middle east for the oil, haiti because we have americans there, chile - we also have americans there.. darfur- oh no us citizens - SHUT THE DOOR. Its really sad. Great president, huh?
But do you think that showing pictures of "skin and bones" children, is an honest way to represent the children of Sudan? And what of putting a terribly depressing song behind the images?
excuse me, if you do not like the video - then don't watch it. It was an English project I had to do. The project was on genocide and I showed the results of genocide in Darfur - its meant to hit you in the stomach and show you the gruesome reality of the genocide of Darfur as the title clearly states. If you want to keep nit picking at this video then please stop commenting. Thanks
Horrible song. Horrible actors.

My comments weren't mean to criticize your video. I'm sorry, I liked it, it was pretty good.
Just honestly wondering your thoughts on how we should use guilt as a tool of persuasion.

Sorry then, your comments were misleading.

@GirlSkiier It's a sad state of affairs for sure.
What do you think is the root cause of the problem?
danielombardi 1 year ago
@danielombardi \
As I said.. admitting there is a genocide, we would have to act.
Since we dont have any ( or if any its very few) americans in Africa, we choose to shut the door from any action going on there.
If there was a mass migration to Africa however, and many US citizens were living there - things would change.
Ignorance is bliss - ever hear that?

Do you think it's ethical to use guilt as a tool of persuasion?
danielombardi 1 year ago
@danielombardi
I layed out the facts - showed what is being done ( nothing ) and making people aware.. that is all..
and this country should feel guilt as they have done nothing for the people of darfur..

@GirlSkiier You did present the facts clearly.
But do you think that showing pictures of "skin and bones" children, is an honest way to represent the children of Sudan? And what of putting a terribly depressing song behind the images?
