really well played! can you recommend any brand for low whistles? or should i stick to tin whistles? (i've been playing for 6-7 years and the whistle's getting old)
@clarinetcat Thanks, but I wish I had spent a little more time on this before recording. In fact, I'll probably do it again on a different low whistle when I find (or make) one that suits me better. The Dixon is good but can't be pushed, and for this kind of playing I need to push.
It is nice, and make a rapid progress in Whistle play. I'm looking forward to up load your rendition every times. (I could not it lately.... X( because we got too much hot day)

@eatmetalshitchains It really depends on what you like, but a Guido Gonzato "low tech" whistle is a very good deal, and a good whistle.

Where did you get your low whistle? I've been looking for one for quite some time.
aharonyakov7 2 months ago
@aharonyakov7 I got it online, but at this point I don't think I'd recommend the Dixon.

The playing is awesome, though I really dislike the accompaniment.

Played very well! Excellent skill! However, the techno/electric background music disgraces the original tune.

Ubi, you have mad skills.
Methinks I need to delve into some serious practice of woodwinds once again, and give the didge a break.

Another great one, Ubi! Well done my friend, keep on a-tootin'!
Btw that dixon sounds great! It appears to be a lot easier to get the high notes on then the chieftain too.
Romenadan 1 year ago
@Romenadan Yep the high notes fly right out. I haven't given up on the Chieftain though.

I enjoy your music very much. I like the low whistle. It's much easier on my tinnitus.
