  • really well played! can you recommend any brand for low whistles? or should i stick to tin whistles? (i've been playing for 6-7 years and the whistle's getting old)

  • @eatmetalshitchains It really depends on what you like, but a Guido Gonzato "low tech" whistle is a very good deal, and a good whistle.

  • great stuff.. good tune.. nice version and well played...

    very cool.

  • Where did you get your low whistle? I've been looking for one for quite some time.

  • @aharonyakov7 I got it online, but at this point I don't think I'd recommend the Dixon.

  • The playing is awesome, though I really dislike the accompaniment.

  • Played very well! Excellent skill! However, the techno/electric background music disgraces the original tune.

  • Very nice mr.Ubizmo. I will try to record my version on low D, soon.

  • Good~~!!

  • Ubi, you have mad skills.

Methinks I need to delve into some serious practice of woodwinds once again, and give the didge a break.

  • @clarinetcat Thanks, but I wish I had spent a little more time on this before recording. In fact, I'll probably do it again on a different low whistle when I find (or make) one that suits me better. The Dixon is good but can't be pushed, and for this kind of playing I need to push.

  • Great! Your whistling is good.

I would like to accompany you on my bouzouki.

  • @ruantplat I'd enjoy that!

  • Great!

I know the traditional Irish tune, but it's so smaller.

    Low whistle sound great!

  • That was beautiful!

  • Is there anything you can't do? I love it!! ^_^

  • @ocarinadiva Yes, I can't play this whistle without squeaking.

  • loving the backing track as well, goes really well with the tune

    hats off to you mate!

  • It is nice, and make a rapid progress in Whistle play. I'm looking forward to up load your rendition every times. (I could not it lately.... X( because we got too much hot day)

  • Made me want to get up and start marching. :-D

  • Great, ubizmo ! Your low-whistling is a delight to the ears ! And this Low D Dixon is really a great-sounding Low D Whistle !

  • Another great one, Ubi! Well done my friend, keep on a-tootin'!

Btw that dixon sounds great! It appears to be a lot easier to get the high notes on then the chieftain too.

  • @Romenadan Yep the high notes fly right out. I haven't given up on the Chieftain though.

  • i like your whistling more than your ocarina playing ^^

And u play it since such a short time..

    Your such a musical genious.

    I envy u so much.

Pls keep on playing irish tunes..

(cos i lowwhistle myself a lot and like get some clues from you ;) )

  • I enjoy your music very much. I like the low whistle. It's much easier on my tinnitus.

    peace!

    Tim

  • @chessdude67 Thanks. Much as I love the ocarina, I really enjoy the low whistle too.
