This was the theme song to my recovery over heroin addiction.
I cannot describe the hell involved with detox. But this song is the perfect way to describe the feeling when you start to see the light at the end of the tunnel; when you know it will soon be over. It's nearly every emotion combined into one unexplainable one.
fabulous record love it!!!!!!! looking for it for years found it today. rated highest 11+ ROGHARM great singer great arrangement love it. show me the movie paper moon
In the sixteen bars after Peggy Healy's vocal chorus and before her return at the bridge, there is a wonderful sixteen bars in which the band plays bars 1-4 and 9-12. The amazing trumpet solos during bars 5-8 and 13-16 are by jazz legend Bunny Berigan
I would have loved this song even without the movie, which was delightful

I love Paul Whiteman and I love Peggy Healy, a beautiful and very sweet voice that unfortunately has been forgotten.
Thanks for sharing this treasure.
