because it was due, but I felt bad using them without your permission and without you knowing. I have put my project on my channel for you to look over, and if you do not want me using your clips I will take it down as soon as possible. Again I am very sorry for using your clips without your permission, but if you would like you can look at my video and then give me permission to keep it up or take it down.
Thank You
By the way, your horses are beautiful, and your son is truly amazing.
WingsR4Sissies Thank you very much on good morals, and you can use all the sections, and I welcome this, do not worry because I developed for the benefit of others, I will soon develop new sections, especially that the child has become slightly larger, thanks again.
I admire your son very much for being to brave around these huge creatures. It is amazing what he can do. I had a project due about therapeutic horseback riding where I had to make a video using clips. I loved your clips so much I had to use them. I tried to post a comment in advance asking your permission, but it so happened that YouTube would not let me post any comments because it was having technical difficulties. I went ahead and put your clips in to my project (cont.)
It is amazing how much of a difference animal came make in a disabled or autistic child's life... a young boy used to do therapeutic riding at the same stable as me. He had 2 people hold him up, as he so weak and disorientated, he would've just flopped (for lack of a better word) on the floor. 1 year later, having .5 hour per week on this horse, he was able to sit by himself and he would get sooo excited when they entered the stable, and he was more alert.
@deboniks thank you for your comments, please visit my profile in you tube to see more. My son is autistic boy but now he is better than before, he was difficult in relation. At first when riding horses cannot risk (these qualities of autistic child), but when he fell from the back of a horse once benefited a lot and became to feel that there is a risk and became cautious and this is a good sign and useful in the treatment
k people, obvs they trust the horse enough to put him up there.
and he looks like hes having fun up there, my little step brother is autsitic, and he just loves animals he tells me he wants to be a llama doctor lol, he loves his horseback riding lessons, we put him on my four year old gelding and my horse just knew he had to be gentle with the little guy. and douglas is just so naturally driven toward the horses :P omg did he fall off at the end :S ?

Great video and even greater Mare. I have owned Arabians in the past - they love and bond with people like on other horse. My son (9 years old) is high functioning austic - and his Tenn. Walking Horse has been blessing for the past 2 years. Some austic children have a connection to horses that you almost have to see to believe. Some how - the horse just knows. Again - great video.
Ohhh, this is wonderful! I've been working with autistic children and horses for a few years now, so I know the fantastic progress that can be made with autism through hippotherapy! How fantastic for your son!
(Possibly a good idea to put a helmet on him just in case, though...)
Playing why do you think the foal is biting. How about the fact that the foal is curious as to why the child is on his mothers back. Just b/c a horse puts its' mouth on you doesn't mean they intend to bite all the time. I trim horses hooves as well as train and there are a lot of horses that nuzzle my head or neck. That is a sign acceptance and trust.
Just because you've been around horses your whole life doesn't mean you're knowledgeable--it doesn't mean a thing. There are tons of riders who couldn't so much as halter break a mini. You must be one of them. Learn to read, learn to type, learn to spell. Just hopefully you will grow up, silly child.
actully it dose. n halter brealing has nothing to do with wat im talking about im talking about how you put a lil kid on a arab. && i have grown up thmk you very much n i kno how to read n i know how to type mayb...you should learn hoe to read listen n type:)
arabians are incredibly smart and this mare is obviously very mellow and chill with everything. and the father of the boy probably owns the horse, and maybe even the whole barn. he probably knows what he is doing, and its his kid, his risk.
To all of you who I can tell are animal lovers ( I am too) ..I just want you to remember that any type of slap at the foal is nothing compared to what the mare does to other horses including her own to dicipline. Yo cannot hurt a horse by doing what this man did. I hope you dont get offended by this comment. I
at that age the foal doesnt have teeth, it feels good when they do that (i breed horses, i know). that mare the kid is sitting on is fabulous! what a kind kind horse. horses are so therapeutic, it is great what youre doing.
Thank you for your comments witch means you have good experience with the horses and how to contact with the animal also. But unfortunately the other comments from some body did not understand the idea well Autism and communication with the animal.
Exactly. Many horses sense the fragility in children--especially kids who are mentally or physically handicapped. I had a stud on the track who'd bite at people he didn't know--yet, he would drop his head, let kids pull on his ears and, rub him all over. The mare is very sweet :) What a great experience!
The foal is a domestic horse, therefore it must also respect the rules humans have. Nipping people is a rule. If you watch a herd, if a baby goes and nips another horse, it's going to scold it right away (pin ears/bite/kick/etc) If a foal is bothered, the mother will defend the baby (just as this man defended his son). Horses don't wait for the mother to come scold their own baby for them. You ought to learn a bit about horse behavior before running your mouth.
Get over what? I wasn't the one upset over nothing. I was just pointing out the facts of horse behavior that you apparently did not know when you posted.

The foal was just exploring, but it's really kind of the mare letting your child on her back while you're acutally slapping her foal a bit. Pushing a bit aside is also an option.
actually the foal was nipping the autistic child, and if you think that the wimpy little smack he gave that colt on the rump hurt it....then you dont know much about horses.
how DARE you be so horrible to that poor foal.you bastard.you should NEVER hit a foal even if they do bite you for they are young and playing.you. should simply find a suitable horse WITHOUT a foal or lead the foal away when they bite.if you don't know what you are doing then just leave those poor animals alone.that was dangerous and evil to put such kind animals through.you evil packy.s
that mare was fine. The foal was not biting him, he was nibbling. It's just how foals are. His shoes are fine also. I ride my horse w/ flip flops sometimes. Nothing happens. The mare was obviously calm and traind. Just be quiet and let the boy have fun. Oh and the boy doesn't really need a helmet. he's fine so was the foal and the mare. juts leave it be!
I am deeply grateful for the kindheartedness of that mare, because this was a primo opportunity for her to cripple or kill the poor child. Please find a riding program where the boy can ride safely.
Not okay. Your child should be wearing a helmet. Especially one who is only five years old. He needs closed-toe shoes. There are eight legs in there that could step on his feet and/or trample him when he falls. There is nothing keeping the mare or her foal under control, and the foal is actually biting your son. I encourage you to let him experience horses, but it needs to be done safely. As a parent, this should be your first concern. End of story. If this was meant as a joke, it isn't funny.
I have an autistic child about your son's age too, and while I commend you for introducing him to horses, I wish you would do it in a safer manner. Our kids can be unpredictable, and you never know what might happen. A helmet is a must- my son has fallen off before, even on the calmest horse... Your little guy doesn'ty seem to be very happy about that foal biting on him either... Why not saddle the mare up and take your son for a ride, safely?
I am so glad to see you working with your son to let him see how wonderful animals are. As a precaution, it might be a good idea to let him sit on the horse only when he's wearing a helmet & when someone is holding the horse. Then he could be lead around & get to experience what it's like to ride. Although this mare seems very calm, I don't think it's worth the risk that she could spook & throw your son.
Keep up the work in allowing him to experience animals. He's a very lucky little boy!
amazing what these animals can do to enrich our lives.keep up the good work with your son and i hope this can be the start of his journey back to you.he looks so comfortable up there, the foal must think he inherited a brother!

B) Mare is unrestrained.
C) NO CLOSED TOE SHOES? Lets break some toes if he falls off.

OMFG! I cant believe you have a kid (autistc or not) on:
a)mare with a foal (as if 4 legs arent enough to get trampled by when he falls off)
b)a horse in a stable, (happen to notice the BRICK walls, you dont think they would hurt if he fell off and hit his head)?
c) an unrestrained horse, no bridle or lead and obv no supervision by anyone with a CLUE
d) NO HELMET? Are you kidding me? Bad parent award goes to you!
e) NO closed in shoes
There is NOTHING ok with this video. You should be ashamed!
