18 returning starters. The best D in the B10. Jones, Andersen, Rucker, Weaver... Nitchman leading a strong line. 2 QBs throwing to 4 receivers at 6 foot 2 and 200+ pounds in White, Dell, Cunningham, and Smith. 5 running backs competing for carriers. The best kicker and punter in the B10 in Swenson and Bates. It's going to be a great year.

He's so versatile. Last year he had 11 receptions for 132 yards, 9 rushes for 51 yards and was 2 for 3 throwing the ball for 59 yards amd that was all in a season cut short by a broken collar bone. I think he is gonna be a beast by the time he graduates.

Best Punter in the B10, Zoltan Mesko 100% fact. And whoever said Cousins is better than Forcier is in for a rude awakening.

Bates is better than Mesko. Mesko has a better average, but he never really had to punt from the 50 yard line. Both will find jobs in the NFL. I'd take Cousins or Nichol with 2 years of experience over a true freshman anyday.  Forcier = Clausen 2007. And yes, State has the best D in the B10. Jones will be B10DPOY, Anderson, Rucker, Weaver, and Gordon will be all conference.

Coach D said that he expects 3 guys to get 100 plus carries this year. The two freshamn Caper and Baker have both been impressive in camp as has redshirt freshman Caulton Ray. The offense will be much more balanced becuase MSU has great recievers and tightends and the QB situation will be a lot better with either Nichol or Cousins. But MSU's strength is their defense.
