My testimony at this meeting against the proposal has been edited out. We don't all want criminal aliens carrying infectious diseases to have the incentive to place themselves in exploitable labor slave situations at the mercy of coyotes and kidnappers. Granting amnesty ends up placing these illegals in great danger as they attempt to cross illegally at the mercy of criminal human smuggling gangs. Our immigratin policy ensures immigrants are solvent, free of diseases, and are not criminals.

The Port Townsend Peace Movement is heavily lobbying Norm Dicks, Patty Murray, and Maria Cantwell. It is the Border Patrol's policies that concern us as well as the broken system of immigration policy. We are trying to change the policies of the Border Patrol and approached our local officals to garner their support.
