  • Now Sir Kibble too?

  • Since the chicken was on the quiz show part, you would have figured that he would have gotten the answer to, "Who was the boss for stage 2," quicker than you would have. Though at least he didn't buzz in and get it wrong. :P

  • Dont think we missed that Konami....using the same UFOs as the ones form Silent Hill...

  • Turns out Peter Parker's mother's maiden name was Belmont

  • ah, the limitations of sprites on the NES.makes me remember ultima and the glitchy-ness of more then 5 sprites in an row.

  • It really is a dragon? Could have fooled me by saying it's the Senate boss from Strider.

  • What is "Kid Dracula?"

Is Alex Trebek on the night train??

  • Nice game show reference.

  • Doesn't parodius use these sound effects?

  • I love the enemiesin this level and Lady Liberty looks so CUTE! :)

  • Those hair-throwing guys remind me of God Hand. There were guys who threw their liberty spike mohawk, but no boomerang effect.

  • "That's Kid Dracula to you."

That's Mama Luigi to you Ma... I mean DC.

  • Something tells me this game wasn't released in the U.S.

  • Y'mean like DC at least implying it in the first episode?

  • it was on the GB

  • Wow, konami really like their whole 'inverse gravity' thing. First Upa, and now this one...

    'Cept this one is alright...

  • You seem to encounter hair based fighting quite often DC. It is clearly destiny!

  • looks like donkey kong shrunk and changed from barrels to airplanes

  • Is that a Wanpaku Graffiti reference at 6:00? I love you DC!!!

Konami did some pretty "Surprise Difficulty" games back in the old days...

  • why do the hair throwing guys remind me of riddick?

  • "That's not how hair works"? Rocky Rodent says you're wrong!

  • Who was Stage 2's Boss?

*Said boss is sitting right next to you.*

  • Lady Liberty's kinda cute actually.

  • This game just gets more insane as this LP goes on

  • This game just went bat shit on me. First we go back to New York again minus the dogs, then we get pop quizzed by the freakin' Statue of Liberty, then we're betting on the colors of some dancers' fannies? Then a pitstop in Egypt? Never go on a road trip with Kid Dracula, your head will spontaneously combust from the madness.

  • And note: we just finished watching a baby break EVERY CHILD SAFETY RULE HE COULD. I honestly think some game developers are from the 5th dimension.

  • Not to mention that evil baby's got the most ridiculous metabolism I've ever seen. I'm pretty sure that baby took in 200 times it's body weight in cake. And I'm guessing you mean 5th dimension as in the secret stash under the couch.

  • DC clearly is not an expert on panties.

  • Konami's music band is Kukeiha Club, for future reference.

  • CanCan is...not...what I expected.

  • dude, if you wannna play a terrible game, play dr jekyll and mr hyde for the nes. it will drive you insane. not that you were sane to begin with.

  • You need to learn to use your shift key.

But yes, that is a terrible game. Madamluna once made me choose between playing that or Deadly Towers. I chose Deadly Towers, and the results were more mentally scarring to her than I.

  • I was going to say "That's how hair works in Rocky Rodent" until I heard you mention Rocky Rodent...

  • Yeah. I was thinking the exact same thing.

  • Well, THAT was an interesting minigame. Also, your surprised that the game has you fighting aliens in the big city? What about the last levels? This game is trotting the globe, and getting stranger all the time, especially with the bosses!

  • xd..that was funny.."welcome to big city" *falls* "welcome to jump from the edge of platforms*

  • So... the United States doesn't start with a "U" anymore? And there's no such place as the Isle of Wight?

    I'll take 3rd-Grade Geography for $400, Alex...

  • I was thinking "America".

  • That's not a country.

  • Now we're getting all political. This needs to stop.

  • I was thinking "New York"

  • What 3rd grade did you go to? Most 3rd grades around here are still having trouble getting kids to read...

  • Actually, there is an Isle of Wight. It's off the southern cost of England I believe.

  • the return of rocky rodent

  • Thanks DC.

    I just finished my taxes.

    stop bugging me about them.

  • Wait, the bubbles when the enemies say pon!

    Pon Pon Pata Pon.

...Sorry, I have that game stuck in my head like a tumor.

  • I like how the chicken didn't to answer the question about who the second boss was.

  • "Oooh, here it comes! Here comes the night train! CHOO CHOO cha BOOGIE!"-Doom Comic

  • Bonk.

  • Hair works like that in Rocky Rodent

  • This game is starting to remind me of a very linear Blaster Master. Heck, you even get the Hover ability in Stage 3. Also, Superman called, they want their talking Statue of Liberty back.

  • Game Freak totally stole this level for Drill Dozer. Also, I see why this wasn't localized.

  • Yes, the chicken fail but what happen to the "I wanna look like a ghost" guy ? Not even a try. Pfft.....

  • "That's not how hair works!" Haha. :)

  • Is that the SECOND Metroid reference in this LP? I thought I noticed you say Norfair in the previous video...

  • -_- DC I've just made a discovery, I'm sure you knew this was a castlevania spin off, but what dissapoints me is that Kid Dracula is Alucard

  • You can't prove that.

  • It's obviously Dracula. What else explains his single-minded desire to destroy humanity but a messed up childhood?

  • This game is almost like Castlevania mixed with Splatter house Wanpaku Graffiti with a little bit of Mega Man

    great video DC

  • "That's not how hair works!" Forgotten about Rocky Rodent already? Oh, yeah, I guess you'd want to forget about it.

  • So, if there's a white haired dracula who's a child, is there a red haired simon belmont who's a child as well?

  • no! not turn pop again!

  • bart vs the world and bart vs the space mutabts are awesome games. what the hell are you talking about.

  • I'm talking about how incorrect your opinions are.

  • You don't have missiles but you do have bombs.

  • You cannot escape Turn Pop.

  • "It's Jason and he's taking Manhatten!"

    That was hysterical.

  • Does this game have any plot what-so-ever?

  • Never played Metal Storm, but I've heard a lot of good things about it.

  • Isn´t this Game turning kids that played it into perverts? I mean come on...looking under skirts??

Anyway....It´s nit making any sense that he´s not able to jump down the buildings at the beginning, but at the end....strange.

Keep it up DC! I´m wondering how this Game ends...

  • It's not like Can-Can dancers really don't show off what's under their skirts while dancing, so.

  • Blinky Ice Dragons GO!

  • *Drops his jaw at lady liberty's lack of fighting* This must be a bit of an oddity. I guess Konami didn't want to see a female boss quite yet, and is an interesting change of events. Too bad the bonus stage crushed DC. Hopefully the desert doesn't end your game Deceasedcrab.

  • i love how each level is so generic - an ice level, a water level, a cloud level, a desert level... so funny. can't wait to see what the next one will be.

  • "Did ya have fun?"

Hah, Konami is full of weirdness.

  • Rocky Rodent? Now THATS an obscure reference. I had that game as a kid.

  • At least the moving overhead in the subway wasn't an insta-kill.

Of course, knowing this game, that wouldn't have been a surprise.

  • They give you the hang skill and then shove you in a level without a ceiling?

  • Wow, "New York" looks like a level straight out of a ninja turtles game, music and everything.

  • Comment removed

  • Quiz's, Can Can dancers... This game is too weird.

  • OMG! Jason Takes Manhattan! I never thought I'd hear that reference from you DC. You sound all cute and innocent. I never would have thought you for a slasher movie fan.

  • Nice double entendre in the video title. I didn't quite expect that.

  • Wow that ghost knew nothing and tryed nothing during the quiz while the chicken just failed at life.

  • 'That's not how hair works" I heard that before in rocky rodent

  • She lives in the U.S.A. (assuming answer two was U.S.A or United States since it began with "U" and the first option was a country).

  • I just noticed the similarities between the ice dragon and the ShineSpark monster from metroid fusion.

  • The Shinespark Guardian's name is Serris :p

  • You know.... I think that's not supposed to be Jason..

If I'm right, i think they're refrencing Rick with that! =D

  • seems like DC has an affinity for games that cause people to question their sainity

  • @4:22: Oh, joy, Rocky Rodent is back for revenge. And he's not amused!

  • It's taken four videos, but I just noticed that KD lets you backtrack a little and move about in more interesting ways. Coming from Bio Miracle, that's technological progress!

  • Yeah, I'm playing the game parallel to DC and must say that I really enjoy it.

In my book two-way scrolling is a big plus for any NES platformer (although it won't necessarily turn a bad game into a good one).

  • It kinda feels like Bart vs. The World. At least the gameplay's not as bad.

  • Now THERE was a crappy game.

  • Wow DC, you really hit that Turn Pop mini game a lot, don't you?

  • Wait.

Why is Kid Dracula east asian?

  • there's no way the hang skill can possibly end well.

  • Wight is an island off the south coast of England.

  • "Dang it! This chicken is really bad at this!"

DC sounds genuinely enraged at the chicken's inability to correctly answer questions in a quiz show.

  • Wight is a place. The isle of wight - just off of the south coast of england. I should know, I can see it every morning.

  • I have heard some NES emulators have the option to disable sprite limit which can help with such blinking.

  • Ahhh, that's got it. 2 years late, but it's nice to know now.

  • Wait, are you saying you recorded these 2 years ago?

  • No.

  • Hey, what happened to realism all of a sudden? Bake Sale to you good sir.

  • I believe Kid Dracula is a Gameboy game, if I'm not mistaken.

  • The sequel is. You are.

  • Rocky rodent in the subway, how charming.

  • I'll refrain from Guns N' Roses song references.

  • Rocky Rodent Refrence (Triple R) :D Then are we going to hear Living Lobster again??

  • Rocky Rodent came after this, I think. So its probably a coincidence.

  • If more games had a Can Can minigame, the world would truly be a better place...

Or a wretched hive of scum and villainy, you know, whichever.

  • Wight is probably a reference to the Isle of Wight, located in the English Channel.

  • Um, did those ladies just dance around then stick their butts out at us?

I'll be honest, I didn't expect to be asking that question in a game called "Kid" anything.

  • "QUIZ!!!11111".

    Dear God. Also, antigravity.

  • Indeed, "United States" most definitely does not start with a 'U'.

  • The New York City's music remind me of River City Ransom.

  • "Welcome to the big city. *Jumps in pit*" - beyond epic.

    Good stuff, DC.

  • i thought kid dracula was a cartoon, but wasnt he green and bald in it?

  • I now approve of this game.

  • I also approve. It's better than a lot of old platformers out there, it seems.

  • Did the enemies in the subway come from Rocky Rodent?

  • I find the Ice power kind of useless actually and found it overall disappointing. The city was absolutely horrible, well just the train part (but this will prove to be nothing compared to later levels I can forebode) I mean really not enough head space and too many obstacles.
