ner'zhul was encased in the armor and he fused mind and soul with arthas thus creating the lich king, no soul was destroyed in the process of the fusion.

If you want to pay attention, you notice that the Lich King identifies himself as "humanity's most wayward son". Nerzhul would not have used that term.

Both Arthas and Nerzhul are part of the Lich King. If Arthas' soul would have been destroyed, the Lich King would not have his personality ( which Metzen confirmed) . In the cinematic, what do you see? the Lich King remembering stuff that happened to? Arthas, that's who. If there was no Arthas left then he'd remember Nerzhul's memories.

The soul and the mind are two different things. So just cause your soul isnt present, the mind still contains all memories :)

Actually when they merged, Ner'zhul destroyed Arthas' soul and then ripped his heart out to get rid of any humanity he had left. The Lich King only needed a body to live in since Kil'Jaden destroyed his when he was captured after going through the portal when Draenor was being destroyed.

the sword is epic in story doesnt mean its stats will be strong. it might just be a sword with gold name with high item level and some funnt feature. just like anu'barak has way more HP in ToC25.

the only thing that makes it immpossible 2 drop is proly that wielder of frostmourne will become the new lichking! so i think this sword will become a quest item cauz it must be destroyed
