I bought the Wii a few months ago because I heard you could download old Nintendo games. I didn't realize the wii had such a small selection of games to choose from. This was one of my favorite games I wish I could download. I also liked games like Maniac Mansion, Paper Boy, Spy vs Spy, The Lone Ranger, Top Gun, Roger Rabit. Does anyone know of anyway I can get these games on the Wii? Do they have these games on SD cards or discs anywhere?
@steve5123456789 the game takes the view that the South was so disadvantaged at that point that it didn't have a chance to win. But I would've liked to play to see if I could comeback from Petersburg and Atlanta
very good port. it sweeps the floor with all those Amiga 16-bit wannabees... smooth scrolling, smooth sprites, great coding, great design.. just what the game should look like... congratulations NES team!!! sadly you cannot swith off the platform sections but it is still the winner!!! NES takes it all!!! yeah!
This game rocked. I wish I had something more profound to say. Old Nintendo had strategy games, unlike any of the later models. Nobunaga's ambition for one.
i love this game, except i played it on the amiga, wich is like graphically seen 500% better and same for sound. the comics rawk, im dutch and they actually are available here, and i've quite some :)
this guys review was pretty acurate and he showed most of the games awesome points. too bad he didnt show the indian and mexican though =) btw : the commander doesnt get older, it becomes a higher ranked character for north : Cpl blutch , Sgt Chesterfield , Cpt Stark Awesome review dude.
Oh man, this brings me back to when I was 6 or 7. I borrowed this game from my neighbour, and didn't really care much for the history, but it was fun lol :)
The name of the Belgian Comic Book was "Les Tuniques Bleues". It was funny as hell and pretty accurate in terms of history even though the characters were obviously fictional. They were never published in the US and I think that's a shame because I enjoyed them when I was a child as I did North & South on NES. Enjoy!
looks kinda fun! exept for being historicly inacurate. One thing though, i don't hear your opinion on the game very much. i hear you every now and then saying that "this is a cool feature" or "another thing i like bout this game is...". I would like you to rate the game on a scale of your choosing that way i know if i should download the game or not. Other than that, keep up the good work!
Yeah I heard the game was based on the comic Les Tuniques Bleues. I enjoyed the video as it pointed out a few things I didn't mention in my review. I wasn't aware of the photographer thing. That was pretty funny.
Turns out I didn't understand this game for %*$% when I was little!

I loved this game. Graphics might be 10 times better with todays games but I don't think there any games today as fun as the old games on Nintendo.
