The Republican vs Democrat scenario is the controlled opposition dynamic. The differences between the two partys are largely superficial. Ron Paul is a loose cannon. The very fact that you are so concerned about these positions of a presidential candidate illustrates how far from its foundational principles our republic has drifted. No more than a single lifetime ago the U.S. federal government would not have intervened in the lives of individual Americans with respect to marriage or firearms, and any body such as the UN would not have served in any capacity beyond an advisory counsel.

You should endorse Ron Paul knowing that he would never presume to dictate to Americans on such matters, and many others. According to the 10th ammendment (the most neglected ammendment), there is a separation of federal gov't and marriage, and firearm regulations (gun control) is delegated to the states. Resolutions from the UN, or any such body, would never supercede the U.S. Constitution or U.S. Congress.
