Knitting Instructional Video: How to do a Plaited Basket Stitch

Very pretty! But here's a question about this stitch pattern.  If I'm knitting in the round did you simply continue that first knit row? And.. how would you handle socks in the round where the number of stitches is an odd number?

How would you write this if doing instructions. (example in second stitch k1b then k1f then drop off needle)?

This stitch is pretty awesome, I've never heard of it before! I'll have to knit a scarf or something using it. :D
