You can battle this boss on playtrough 2 or 3 (new game +) after killing all 4 elemental archfiends in proto-babil dungeon (before batling CPU. Second place to battle this boss is on mounts ordeals(where you get paladin for cecil and after gettting out of proto-babil.) 200 000 hp, 800 000 xp and 99 999 gils, abilities : maelstrom, lightning, inferno, tsunami, gas stone touch, curse. You can kill this boss infinite time , enjoy :)

Well actually, it does but when combined with certain gears which I forgot, you are able to absorb all elemental damages brought upon you by monsters.

@ihusmal1234 say if you have the flame mail which halves ice damage. wear the cursed ring and, yes, your stats go way down. but you are then able to absorb the ice damage. and adamant halves all elements, meaning you can only be hurt by just physical attacking moves.

@TheDogmatix10 I do get that, the Lunar trials were damn good. I don't usually play remade remakes, as this is what this game really is. But it does have a higher degree of difficulty, although you cannot switch out your party members, Ala the GBA version. If you blew through the SNES or GBA versions, you have to change some strategies here. Geryon, the elemental vomit boss, as I call it, is plain silly. Proto-Babil is alright though.

@TheDogmatix10 Another DS exclusive boss, similar to the Iron Giant in the DS Final Fantasy remake. He can be fought on the moon only if you stole dark matter from Zeromus during the final battle. He can utterly eradicate your team in a turn or two, that is, if you don't use some sort of strategy again the overgrown tin can :) Look him up here on You-Tube to see some vids of him. Just another reason to get people to spend more cash.

they change any equipment you have that protects against special effects to absorb specal effects, so say if you equiped it in conjunction with adamant armor, all elemental attacks will heal you.

yes, it should, but also remember the curse part of the cursed ring, reduces all your stats by 15, but Adamant armor increases all your stats by 15, so they cancel each other out, thus makeing it the perfect combo.

Just get 5 Adamant Armor and 5 Glass Mask you wouldn't need the Curse Rings. He not all that tough if you know what your doing compare to Proto-Babil

i only just recently found out how to get the adamant armor, and i have no clue how you get the glass masks.

I prefer the adamant armor+cursed ring strat though, cursed rings are easier to come by (though somehow in my last new run through mt. ordeals i managed to not get a single one.

only on 2nd playthrough, you need to steal dark matter from zeromus to fight proto babil, if you search for a "face" on the moon and use dark matter ull fight him, as for this guy, either on the tomb where cecil became a paladin or where you fought the 4 elemental archfiends at the same time.(2nd playthrough too)

Uhm...I think that you can fight this guy atop of Mount Hobbs from the looks of it, but I think that you can fight it in the Lunar Subterrane, you can only fight Proto Babil if you've managed to steal the Dark Matter off Zeromus.

Geryon appears during you Second Playthrough (when you beat the game once) after you beat the Elemental Archfiends. It appears at Mt.Ordeals Shrine or in Giant of Babil where you fight the Elemental Archfiends (Optional Yes/No Fight). You can do this any amount of times. Proto Babel appears on the moon's face in the ground when you have Dark Matter. You steal this from Zeromus in your first playthrough.

Beside the Adamant Armor, there are certain locations to getting the Onion gear as well. If you keep using Siren at a specific spot, used them all up, can you to reset it and having a possibility to finding these gears?

actually the drop rate of the pink tail is 0.4% or 0.8% with treasure hunter

to get 5 tails for all your char. will take you around 10-25 hours.

treasure hunter augment helps...you could have just reset your game after using like 50 sirens to save gil.i got blue, yellow and green tail with just 47 sirens using the reset method(would have used like 400 if i dont reset)

when your characters get the berserk status, cecil will be immune to it(no sure if it is my equipment), make sure cecil has counter augment equipped and set your command to use the item stardust. when you are being physically attacked, cecil will counter using stardust and flan princes will be killed in 2-3 counters.

Second Playthrough (after you beat the first file and start a second file). It appears after you defeat "Elemental Archfiends" in Giant of Babil. You can either fight it at the place in the Giant where you fought the Archfiends (It is an invisible box that you must click "A" and select yes to fight) or at the Shrine at the top of Mt. Ordeals. You can fight Geryon infinite times but it gives low EXP. But the Gil is quite a lot.
