Stopped it at the whole vagina design thing. Not my kind of humor. Not vulgar, just too prudish, like a 13yo discovering there's more to laugh at than a cat getting a hammer in the face.
@garrrynec I should have known I'd get responses like this. Kind of confirms what I was saying, just more literal than I expected. Don't get insulted by an opinion. In 10 years when you're 23, you'll learn there's more to life than dick, balls and vagina humor. You might even find that there's some intellectual humor out there that doesn't require the comedian to be a clown his entire career.
@vincentpol Didn't it come with a label or something? You know....to remove the stick from your ass?
Was I insulted? Nope. Just thought it was funny that you sat through the dick and balls joke, but the vagina joke went too far. BAHAHAH, actually it's still funny. BTW-25 yr old physics major here. So you can just stop with your superiority complex, you're not impressing anyone. Cheers old chap!
@iRocky0228 Its slap to the face. I didn't know dude's name but as soon as I took a closer look at his face, it came to me lol.. What's he most famous for though?
WTF, the entire joke is about intelligent design, creationism as you call it the name is funny and this lame attempt to make up yet another ism and usaully talking about (chrisitainity). THe whole thing is about that not the first 10 secs. I am truelly amazed as to how you only got the first ten seconds was about intelligent design.
In reaction to recent "This is not funny" reactions: "Funny" is not the subject in the phrase "This is not funny". "This" is the subject. "Funny" is being used as an adjective. "Funny" is not an experience. I've never "experienced funny", but I have experienced fun. If I subscribe to your theory that funny is nothing that "is", I don't know if I can watch "Funny or Die".
@TheOriginalBoman I never thought I'd see that, you actually reversed the odd trend. Usually people go "would of", you instead turned it around and went "kind have". Interesting, to say the least. Not meant to be rude, just found it kinda humorous :3
For those that are confused about what the bible really teaches, the Jehovah's Witnesses will come and have a FREE personal bible study to help you find the answers you seek. You can request one from their website. This video isn't meant to be taken serious. It's humor.
@ptrain191 I would love to know how you can believe in evolution if you believe we were created by a big invisible wizard in the sky, please do elaborate! I'm pretty sure it goes, in the beginning God created man not, in the beginning God created chimp and after many years of shit-throwing,shaving and morning stretches chimp became man.
I don't take the bible literally. I don't think that genesis is scientifically true. I can accept science and accept that evolution is the best way to explain life on earth. I can also accept that god has influence in my life and influences the world, but evolution is what happened. Not all religious people are completely ignorant and denying of science because science has lots of good explanations.
@ptrain191 well said... as a Catholic this is what the church teaches (certain books of the bible like the Gosples should be read more literally... but others more figuratively) we believe that Genesis isn't trying to give us a scientific account of how the world was created but rather to let us know that we were created by a loving God with purpose. Science and religion do not have to be opposing forces (Read Thomas Aquinas). They both play an important role! Happy to see your post!
@Starvingrabbi7 How do you know which passages should be taken literally and which are figurative? How can you say that a passage where Eve is told that Man shall rule over her is morally wrong and is not to be taken literally, when supposedly the bible is the source of all morals?
@thamuzino The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) says: To interpret Scripture correctly, the reader must be attentive to what the human authors truly wanted to affirm, and to what God wanted to reveal to us by their words.75
110 In order to discover the sacred authors' intention, the reader must take into account the conditions of their time and culture, the literary genres in use at that time, and the modes of feeling, speaking and narrating then current.
@thamuzino Also... the Church also teachs in line 112 1. Be especially attentive "to the content and unity of the whole Scripture". Different as the books which compose it may be, Scripture is a unity by reason of the unity of God's plan, of which Christ Jesus is the center and heart, open since his Passover.79
@Starvingrabbi7 Looking at the bible in its entirety only makes things more confusing as it is hugely contradictory. Also, if we are supposed to interpret the bible according to our time, why doesn't the catholic church releases an updated version? Or is that part of the proces, that we have to interpret it ourselves? Then why didn't people in the past have to do this? Also, how can morals change over time when the bible doesn't?
@thamuzino you should read Edgar Cayce's interpretation of the book of revelations pure genius breaks it down and applies it to real applications in modern daily life
@thamuzino "when supposedly the bible is the source of all morals?" I hope it isn't. Its horrid, even christians, ( most) cherry pick the better bits by using secuar reasoning.
@Starvingrabbi7 "like the Gosples should be read more literally" virgin biths, zombies, raising from the dead. Localised eathquakes. Weird contridictory claims made to retrofit prophecies. And still that old testement love of blood sacrifice, and scapegoating. And thats just the anonamous ones that got acceptes as canonical.
@ptrain191 I just want to remind you that science constantly refines itself by throwing out what is not useful, replacing it with the new set of rules to define and confine reality. Countless times one scientist has proven another wrong, or right. Point being, you should not base your reality on what other people say is right or wrong, real or fake, possible or impossible. The date of the earth i don't claim to know.. But the creator, I do know.
@Faithwalk777 "science constantly refines itself by throwing out what is not useful, replacing it with the new set of rules to define and confine reality"
Yup, that's the scientific method all right. But it does not "confine" reality, it opens it up. Find one phenomenon that was once scientifically explained but since replaced with "magic". You "know" the creator? Do explain.
@Starvingrabbi7 My last comment was serious and you responded so your theory is consistent! By the way, who the fuck rattled your cage? I stand by the fact that evolution and religion are like oil and water, you cannot combine the two. Either we came from chimps or whichever god you are insecure enough to believe in created us, make a fucking choice and stop talking shit. PEACEOUT BRO!
Creationism =/ Evolution. They are separate! Evolution does not explain how life began. That's what abiogenisis is for.
So while your latter comment is true it's meaningless because the two don't conflict. If you were to say you're a catholic and believe in abiogenisis then there would be a problem.
He is a fantastic person, a great actor, a great comedian, simply a great human being. He can play all type of people because he has all the qualities it takes to do so. So all in all a great person. We found some old lips lying around so we said, "Let's use those!,". And Initially, we made them horizontal and, um...the damn thing talked! So the males said, "I'm not going down there if it talks! I've already got one opinion up here, I don't need a second one!"
