I can't seem 2 get rid of my split ends in my beard. I clip them and everything but they keep growing back. I'm trying 2 get out of the habit of grabbing my facial hairs with my nails & fingers and feeling 4 split ends and yanking on them. In the process I've pulled out countless hairs and now my beard is uneven.

How can I get rid of my split ends or is it inevitable that they come with the beard?

@tarheelred28390 Awesome question. I'm going to do a Clippercutqueen Speaks vlog on this answer. But in short, you must treat the hair on your face with the same dignity as the hair on your head. Use shampoo and a leave in conditioner to keep the beard soft. Try a moisterizer with olive oil or shea butter to protect your ends from splitting and STOP SNAPPING THAT HAIR. Pulling is not the same as trimming. Stay tuned and Stay Sharp!

For me personally I only shave with electric trimmers. I have really curly skin and if I use a straight razor, I tend to get a few razor bumps. Afterwards I only use organic shea butter to sooth and heal my skin.

as far as trimmers go my barber uses the Andis T-Outliners. I think you can get them at Sallys Beauty Supply or any beauty supply store around the way. As far as shea butter I use raw african shea butter.

Yes you can get them sharpened from what I know. You can always buy replacement blades also.

to keep it real I like using trimmers..you get the closest shave you can get without a razor and you dont have to deal with ingrown hairs..cause the hair is still outside the skin

hey clippercutqueen, do you have any tips for someone who tries to do their own shape up? All the barber shops around me charge about 8 bucks for a simple shape up and thats just too damn much for that. I mean thats almost another haircut.

Andis headliner, t-outliner & styliner 2.. When adjusting the blades for the t outliners i get a real close cut and sometimes too close where it irritates the skin or sometimes cuts into the skin.
