  • yorr picture is quite beautiful, but the markers are so much money, and most people need to use there money elswhere. I think at this price they will stay only for pros! denise

  • where did you get the santa stamp at?

  • @KraftyKatsy I drew this Santa image for High Hopes Rubber Stamps. You can look for it online. It's called, "Santa Portrait" by High Hopes Stamps.

  • artlover129 - the paper you choose is paramount to getting the results you want. Every paper type has a different quality to it -- some will let the ink soak into the fibre of the papers. Others will force the ink to sit more on the surface of the paper. You want a good combination of both qualities. If it soaks in too much, you get bleeding. If it sits on the surface too much, you get pooling of the ink. I just received some MakeItColour Blending card and so far I'd have to say it is the best!

  • does it matter what paper u use?/

  • When you use the markers to color, they dont leave marker streaks like the sharpie markers right?

  • @WickedKnight07 I have not tried Sharpies so I can't compare. Streaks are possible with Copics. Your stroke and the type of paper you use will minimize them or prevent them all together. Colouring in small circles and going very quickly over the area you are colouring is prevention. Use a great marker paper such as Manga Drawing Pad by Canson, Copic Xpress It paper or MakeItColour Blending Card in combination with the proper circular strokes, and you will not see any lines of demarcation.

  • BTW Michael's carries them now(but only about 40 colors i think)...they are in a locked cabinet at the front (at least they are at my local store?.....call them. Also Aaron Brothers Art Supply. Just use your coupon that you can usually find online.

  • You are very talented!

  • Come draw all my pictures. *shot* This is really awesome, thank you for making it. :)

  • real cool!

  • AMAZINNNGG !! I can't believe that's even on flat paper :| just.. amazing,

  • what colors do u use?

  • I do have one more question though: what stamping ink and paper are you using?

  • @loungeblogger I'm using Memento Tuxedo Black ink by Tsukeneko, and Manga Drawing Pad 150 lb. paper by Canson.

  • @Crissyloves2draw

    thanks so much!!

  • I do have one more question though: what stamoing nk and paper are you using?

  • doesn't the tip of the light color get messed when you use it for blending?

  • @loungeblogger That's the beauty of alcohol ink markers like these. Nope, the tip will loose the colour you have added to it in about three or four strokes! And it stays clean! That doesn't happen with water based markers which will get forever stained by a second colour.

  • @Crissyloves2draw thanks!

  • which markers do you use? the originals or ciao?

  • @loungeblogger I have both ciao and sketch. I don't use originals at all. I like the brush tip of the caio and sketch for what I do.

  • Hi,

    I now have E00 and E21 but is the E21 a good shade? :P

  • hi everyone you can buy copic markers at custom crops.com or oh my crafts.com even on ebay too!I have them also and I love them.Have a good holiday...I enjoy watching and learning from your videos of coloring the skin types.great job.Alina from michigan

  • @Loveangelangelame I have never paid more than $4.15 for a copic sketch marker. If you go to Oozak.com ..register for free and any time you buy a copic marker its only $4.15 Hope this helps :)

  • @Loveangelangelame Yes they are, since they are a professional marker.

  • @Crissyloves2draw k thanks!

  • Crissy - What a talent! I love watching you - thanks for all the lessons.

  • OUTSTANDING

  • I went to hobby lobby they had them individually each color sepret can u tell me how to get them all in a set of all the colors without ordering them online? 5/5:)

  • @antoniomanley Hi! Sorry, I can't tell you, as I get all mine by ordering online. Thanks for your interest though!

  • @antoniomanley @Reuhl925 I have never paid more than $4.15 for a copic sketch marker. If you go to Oozak.com ..register for free and any time you buy a copic marker its only $4.15 Hope this helps :) Its worth ordering online.

  • @antoniomanley There's a store call "Dick Blick Art Material", is the only place I've seen them on a set. I saw it almost 2 years ago in Iowa City, but you can Google it and check if there's one near by you, where you can go and check for your self. Hope you find them!

  • Great video :)

  • where can I buy the Copic ???

  • @PoonKoon123 You can find Copics at some fine art supply stores. The best place I have found in Canada is a new online store, LSL Diversified. If you aren't in Canada, do a Google search.

  • @Crissyloves2draw try Ooza.com Crissy & once you register its only $4.15 per sketch marker :) way cheaper than LSL

  • @PoonKoon123 I have never paid more than $4.15 for a copic sketch marker. If you go to Oozak.com ..register for free and any time you buy a copic marker its only $4.15 Hope this helps :)

  • How much do these cost?

  • @Bleach20174 They can vary, the Ciao are cheaper but hold less ink. Sketch here is Canada are around $8.99 where I am. You can find them cheaper online and I believe places like Hobby Lobby sell them and you can use a coupon.Cheaper to buy them in sets too!

  • @Reuhl925 I have never paid more than $4.15 for a copic sketch marker. If you go to Oozak.com ..register for free and any time you buy a copic marker its only $4.15 Hope this helps :)

  • the skin tone looked amazing until you used the grey!! :( still madly talented girl :)

  • thats really good keep up the good work

  • Does anyone know if Michaels would carry these?

  • Nope. These are too high end for Michaels. You'll have to look in fine art stores.

  • @IHaveAMask

Get them on eBay, lol. But in all seriousness I've seen some good deals on these markers there.

  • @smilie120 I used a 50% off coupon on them from Joann's online. Great deal!

  • @IHaveAMask Hobby Lobby does

  • I would love to get more copic markers but at the store near me they are close10 bucks a piece...

  • This is a great tutorial. Thank you so much. I haven't taken the plunge yet, but hope to within the next few months. thank so much for sharing your time and talent

  • Great job..I just bought a ton of these markers and I'm learning so much from these tutorials..thanks for sharing!!!

  • it's Santa Christ!

  • And how do you do the stamped image thing?

  • What kind of paper is best for using copics?

  • Manga Drawing Pad by Canson

  • can you re-phrase your question? Not sure what you are asking here. :-)

  • i wish there's copic markers in store

  • Not a lot of stores carry them because they are so high end, therefore very expensive. Your local fine art supply store might carry them, or a paper craft store, or stamp and scrap store.

  • @stuart8965756799 we have an art school in town maybe there copic markers there.. thank you

  • I recently purchased a different brand called Letraset, but then I found out that Masashi Kishimoto, who draws Naruto, used copic markers, so I might get them, only problem is they are much more expensive than letraset...

  • Love love really your video, you are great with shadows and lights, I have been thinking to buy those markers for a long time, and this tutorial helps me on the decision, but I was wondering if your blend pen does ever get dirty?

  • Nope. At least not for long. It does pick up a bit of the colour you are using it on, but all you have to do is swipe it a few time on scrap paper and it comes right off.

  • What paper did u stamp on?

  • I used Manga Drawing Pad by Canson. It is like very thick card stock and the markers blend beautifully on it.

  • wow looks brillent

  • What kind of paper works good? I'm new at this, and I'm not sure what to buy.

  • I like Manga Drawing Pad by Canson. Its good thick heavy cardstock and it is best for Copic beginners because it is very forgiving. It is also very absorbent, and so it tends to suck more ink out of the markers. I also love Pure Luxury by Gina K. It isn't as forgiving and not as absorbent, but it is pure white so the colors stay more true. It can be a bit trickier to use so I don't recommend it for beginners. You have to find what you like though, so try a few brands out.

  • Awesome skills.

Where can you buy copic markers and how much do they cost?

    Thanks (:

  • Thanks! Copics are a professional marker, designed for artists who draw for Anime and Manga style cartooning. So they are pricey! Re. where to buy them, if you're in the States, I think Dick Blick's has the lowest prices I have found. But I am in Canada and so I shop up here. Not many stores carry them, so I go online and get them at Scrappin' Great Deals. Or Curry's Art Supplies. You can Google any of those sites for the web stores. Prices vary, but like I said, they don't come cheap!

  • I checked on eBay and theys expansive mang

    like 55 bucks for a 12 pack :O

  • Fantastic colouring. I just love the depth you achieve. TFS!

  • great vid! You really helped this up and comeing artist! :)

  • where do you buy stamped images

  • I don't buy them. I draw them. :-D

  • Pale Fruit Pink, Skin White and Barely Beige

  • on ur copic marker,

  • what skin tone u use
