Boba Fett is a cool character but it's kinda pointless to have a rocket pack on while loitering in a hallway indoors. I would have left that heavy bastard in slave 1.

Why would there be a torture device on Bespin? I assume Vader brought it down from his ship. Otherwise that would be a weird contraption to have on a gas mine.
Damn. tortured with heat and electro shocks. then frozen in carbonite. All after being betrayed by your buddy. That's what I call a lousy day on Bespin. but at least he didn't lose any body parts like Luke.
I always assumed it was both heat and shocks. Heat because of how Han reacts while being lowered, and shocks cause of the sparks. That device sure is diverse!

Drugs that can lower pain threshold, cause hallucination, make humanoids tell the truth, cause paranoia, etc. It also has a scalpel, and surgical laser for physical pain. Han was hallucinating, the flashes causing a photosensitive hallucination. According to the New Essential Guide to Droids.
