  • I have the HEAT w/tanto serrated blade....REALLY NICE!!

  • They are counterfiets! Not built in spain!

  • I think that these camillus knives are hands down the best knife you can own for the dollar you pay. I suggest get them where yu can.

On a tip down, learn to deploy it with the blade dropping down...

  • Just got black one for $39.99 + Tax, should I get the silver bladez one also?

  • these knifes were produced in spain not by camillus new york you can still buy them

all day for around 30 to 40 dollars ,and your saying camillus wrong.

  • 200,000, what a bargain

  • what is the meaning of E.D.C?

    Thanks

  • @DiosPatriaRey Everyday Day Carry

  • thanks you very much.

is it legal to carry a knife like weapon in usa? In spain is illegal in populations or "non justificate places"

  • @DiosPatriaRey Different areas have different rules, i.e. only knives 3 inches or under, no fixed blades, no switchblades unless you are military or police, etc., but generally most "pocket knives" are legal in most places.

  • It's pronounce "Cuh-mill-us", not "Camel-us" ;p

  • I have been watching your vids for the past hour having just discovered you. Excellent excellent reviews and videos, but I got to make one comment:

I grew up and still live within 20 miles of Camillus, NY and the Camillus Knife factory.

    The local pronunciation is kuh-MILL-us.

  • I dont "gear up" in the morning, I just have a pair of shorts with all of my stuff including my knife already in them

  • Which is better the camillus heat or sog trident thanks

  • sog trident for sure!

  • i heard the trident has several flaws

  • I bought 5 of them, because they were on clearance at Gander Mountain for $5 each! & I Love the flipper! Although all mine say they were made in Taiwan. D. Ralpn Design What does AUS 8 mean? Good review, thanks. I cut the back of my hand several times on the handle when reaching into my pocket due to the sharp top. Had to sand each of the 5 down, and round them off. Didn't know why they were so cheep. Wish I would have purchased more. I had one of the thumb studs break early on.

  • aus 8 is a steel

  • i have a camillus pilot survival knife from vietnam and i was wondering if its worth anything.

  • Is it just me or do you guys also prefer steel lined knives? I dont know if its paranoia or what but I think I can break a non steel lined knife with some lateral force. Sure thats not how a knife is suppose to be used but I just dont like the idea of my blade separating from my handle under hard use.

  • yeah, i guess

  • because the liner release gets in the way of the left thumbstud on these knives

  • i don't have a blaze but have had a sizzle and a heat for years. they are the original ones with aus 8 blades.

i agree with what you say about the sharp bits where the blade locks in and the fairly non grippy handles/handle jimping. i too find the sizzle a little thick but the heat is a pretty big folder and the thickness doesn't seem too bad on it.

i have to say that the quality on these aus 8 knives is outstanding, they are as good now as ever and the flipper means lefties can open no problem

  • heya nut'n Good job bro, just to add i was looking at "new graham knives" website and they have got the exact same model as camillus but manufactured by ontario. is that a misprint on their part or do ontario make the same model? not a bad price for it either.

  • bear and ontario are continuing camillus's models.

  • Been watching your vids for awhile now, great stuff and keep up the great work. For a long time i have been looking for a smaller bladed edc knife, but with a thicker handle, my hand from tip of thumb to tip of pinkie, out spread is a comfortable 10 inches, 12 if i push it, my palm is almost five across alone. Most small folders are way to thin. so actually it was yours and cutlery lovers vid that got me to buy this knife,

  • Excellent review. You have a good critical eye.

  • hi again (and this comment doesnt have anything 2 do with this vid )but mayb u know why the original edge of my cold steel ti-lite (titanium blue) says sharper longer than she swedge that i sharpened because i did a test and both sides were more or less both yust as sharp but the swedge gets dull faster do you know why??(if u dont understand what im asking please let me know then ill explain better) thank u once again 4 helping me with knife information you realy help me allot:)

    regards Pim

  • OMG!!!!! lol I just made this review and was going to upload it today, lol...I can't believe how similar my review is to yours, haha, we think alike...Actually the biggest issue I had was with the flipper, I felt it was just too uncomfortable to use, but I didnt notice the top being someone sharp until I saw this review...Excellent review...

  • Thanks dude, we must have the same frequency going. I agree about the flipper too.

  • Yeah, haha, well I had a recent knife order and I was just going through each knife, and the timing was just perfect that I made my review right after you made yours...I ended up getting one knowing they woudl be harder to find in the future...I was goign to just keep it as a collectors knife but I was offered a Spyderco "Q" in trade which I am goign to accept...Since they are even more collectible these days...Anyway once again, great video!

  • wow!, i actually didn't know Camillus went out of busyness!, thats a shame!, i know a website where i can get one of those knives cheap!, i think I'll get one just to have it!, cool knife and GREAT review!, i love you're reviews!

  • great review, you're so freakin thorough, haha

  • what a pretty knife!
