  • Daniel's got amazing pipes and even more amazing in person. He's also a great guy.

  • Orchestra conducted by Marc Riley

  • oh yes, this common use of Comparision of singers is very tiring.. Why cannot you take each singer for what he brings to the stage & enjoy it for it's beauty. Is is really necessary to criticise one singer because of the design of his vocal cords, to sing high or low. This is ridiculous & a waste of time. Daniel Rodriguez is a glorious performer. If your see him in concert you would know. Placido Domingo is also great. You cannot compare. They are two different men with two different voices.

  • You are entitled to your views, but I much perfer everything about Mr. Rodriguez voice and performance. He's a man for everyone, not just the few. No comparision. and he has a much richer lower register, he studied as a baritone and his range is huge. He blesses us in his singing and the world is a better place for this great tenor.

  • I'm italian and, believe me, a maniac of the operas. I can state that Placido has the better and more powerful voice i ever heard (do you know the meaning of the word "pastoso"?). Rodriguez, in this song remains at lower registers becuse you cannot compare his voice with placido's voice. Rodriguez's voice sounds like carrera's voice: good, gentle but not powerful ta the highest level. In this song Rodriguez force sometimes while placido has to moderate himself.

    i apologize for my english

  • Spectacular and awesome!! not much else to add!

  • spectacular--what else is there to say!

  • What a beautiful voice. Please do not compare him to anyone else as he is who he is. That is pure in heart and spirit and you can hear that and that's what matters. He could sing the telephone book to me and I would never get bored. Love it!

  • Wow. This guy has some pipes!

  • This is a difficult call, but I beleive I like Daniel's version even better than Placido Domingo's. Love both of their versions and love this song!!!

  • SO BEAUTY.

  • Oh, my. What an amazing voice.

  • I have to agree its not close to Domingos version--and I AM GLAD...

Domingo's version sounds like he is singing it with a clothes pin on his nose

  • Sorry, I disagree with you, This guy can sing well, but this version is nowhere near as good as Placido Domingo

  • Saw Mr. Rodriguez in Pagliacci and witnessed first hand the beautiful and powerful voice. That is really his nitch. Hope he comes out with an opera CD one day. A great classic voice for the ages.

  • Again Danny you blow me away with your beauty and magnificent voice. Your breath control and technique is first class! I learn so much from you. Thank you for giving your gifts to the world.

  • Truly Beautiful voice, soft or powerful it comes across as true from his heart. Exceptional artist, great talent. We are blessed.

  • What a phantastic voice! Many classic tenors sound too artificial and too technical. But THIS voice sounds natural and authentic and its beauty and sheer power fascinate me.

    Really very good!

  • Mario, you are so right! He is a fabulous singer! I have always felt he had something truly unique! He does! Appreciate your insight and comment! We are blessed by Mr. Rodriguez's gift of voice.

  • another excellent Daniel performance. How we love this guy! What he can do with a song. Fabulous!

  • I remember when Michelle Kwan professional skater used this song. Too bad Daniel could not have done it for her. This is absolutely magnificent. East of Eden. Another Bravo!!

  • This says it all about how wonderful our country is.

  • He is indeed wonderful. Not your cookie cutter performer, but takes my breath away each time.

  • I always enjoy watching former the Singing Policeman from New York City sing. He has a special style all of his own. Beautiful voice and presence. Loved navigating both of his websites too. Our compliments to his webmaster who ever he/she is. To go to his sites just type TheSingingPoliceman(dot)com.
