I've spent alot of time in moscow and there really isn't alot of traffic and the road systems are fine to handle the traffic, it's how 80% of the idiots drive thats the problem. there selfish people all wanting to be first not obeying traffic rules, lots of accidents causing the jams. russian drivers are by far the worst in the world.
I disagree with you. Of course many jams are caused by idiots, but not 80%. The main cause is that whole road system in Moscow is imperfect. For example there are many railways that go from the centre of the city, and only few passes that vehicles can use to cross these railways, and most of the passes have less lanes that roads leading to them.. bottleneck effect. And the same with the river Moscow.. too few bridges.
I know but almost every one in Moscow live in very dense neighborhoods its not the case in New York, and other big cities, and moscow wasn't build to have cars, it was more build for mass transit because after all its one of the principles of communist.
