  • look, they got knives, appropiate for little children

  • Growing up and watching these in early 1960's in NYC, these always seemed to be NYC cartoons. The accents and sayings seem to be Brooklyn or the Bronx . Kinda like Bugs Bunny , was a nyc rabbit , thats how ive always seen it..

  • @1952kid The first animation studios, including Fleischer/Famous, were founded in NY...thats cool you picked up on that from watching the cartoons

  • Funny that it says Jim Tyer does some animation here - it's all good and funny, but none of it looks quite wild enough to be his.

  • Alcohol. Turning natural enemies into best pals since 1946.

  • HOW COME THE SOUND ON HERE WORKS AND NOT THE OTHER??? This is on dvd/vhs, with the beginning opening edited/blocked out, and the cartoon itself ranges from good to fair quality print. Isnt this a public domain cartoon? I guess that "HarveyToons" & "Noveltoon" are 2 seperate entities. I couldnt find this on a list on wikipedia, and it is not on Harveytoons: The Complete Collection ...

  • weird thing: I guess there was 3 companies: HarveyToons, Famous Studios & Noveltoon. Because I remember I saw this cartoon (beginning edited to heak...) either at a late night tv showing of an old film plus a cartoon they didnt even announce (I videotaped it and saved it somewhere) then this is also avaliable on some multi feature dvd (for 1 dollar at 7-11) with 2 sci-fi or 2 other type films. It also contains this cartoon, but the beginning opening has been edited like you wont believe.

  • I remember this cartoon as well! Man it's been a while! I had a little VHS tape with this and other cartoons.

  • Same here! Me and my little brother used to sing this opening song.

It came in a kinda greyish card cover? Also containing Naughty but Mice and Fifth Coloumn Mouse?

They are quite macabre in a sense arent they?

  • The cat sounds like Scratchy from Itchy & Scratchy on The Simpsons cartoons.

  • you mean-scratchy sounds like this cat! look at the year!!

  • Been a long long long time since I last saw this. thanks for the upload
