If I hate to classify them, it's HateCore....The Whore is the defining theme of this album, loved broken, betrayal, loss of faith, it's emo as fuck...but not in a pussy way..more of a "Fuck you whore, i fucked your entire batch of friends and took a shit in your face, you fucking cunt. go kill yourself you slut."-kind of way.

@OtakuAMV where does it say that their emo? emo's a fucking genre that mean emotional motivated hardcore and associate not with lyrics. It's really all about the instruments and how much emotion is put into it. If you listen to an emo band(and no, Alesana doesn't count)you can hear the raw emotion that is put into every song they make. Plus glassjaw is one of the pioneer of modern post hardcore but what would a guy who listen to disturb and think scene kid are emo kids know bout that? haha

Genre names are usually not self inflicted. In other words, this band probably did not call themselves post hardcore. Either way, the kid likes the music and you're picking an argument with him. @Y2Jgrave Post hardcore is a very diverse genre, lol. The bands that influenced screamo came from the post-hardcore scene. I suggest you do a little research before you say that screamo and post hardcore sound completely different. Post-hardcore doesn't have a sound. I'm pretty sure Saetia and La Dispute were part of the post-hardcore scene, and they're definitely pretty reminiscent of screamo

Actually it means emotive hardcore, plus post-hardcore is a pretty diverse and disordered genre that really should just be gotten rid of. emotive hardcore was actually a subgenre of post-hardcore originally. I believe bands like Saetia were also sort of post-hardcore, even though they pioneered screamo.
