  • Sounds nice and I like the wave in the hole!

  • I switched strings and like the sound even more now. Thanks!

  • @deach69 what strings did you switch them out to?

  • What size uke do you go for day-to-day?

  • Mostly tenors and super concerts. Occasionally I'll play my soprano.

  • I like the part with the ukulele.

  • lol You are the bestest!

  • Love the song bit. Put it on your list. (Nice uke, too, btw.) Thanks.

  • Thanks Bruce!

It's a long song from what I remember. I don't think I am disciplined to learn anything that takes more than 2 minutes.

  • dang that uke is NICE ! im lovin all the waves !

  • Thanks! Yeah, I'm loving it.

  • Pretty sounding. And a nice tip of the hat to Dave Frishberg, too!

  • Thanks Big D!

  • I like the wave designs......lolly lolly lolly get your adverbs here.. helped me pass 8th grade English.

  • That's a great episode too. Thanks for watching.

  • Sounds nice! Pretty too! Deach, I wish I could just sit in the same room while you're noodling around on a uke--very cool!

  • Thanks. Anytime, come on over and we'll jam.

  • Thanks!

  • Thanks for reviewing. I like the Nalu wave theme of the headstock and soundhole.

Also, nice choice of song. :)

  • Thanks Henry. The wave convinced me to buy. I'm a sucker for pretty things.

  • nice review, great schoolhouse rock song! good looks Deach

  • Thanks!

  • that end song made me think about all the stimulus money and how some really should have been spent on getting every american an ukulele.

  • Smart man!

  • sounds great. i still have to get a proper one.. mine cost about 15 euros and thats what it sounds like... gets out of tune in no time. i don't know. any recomendations?

  • What's your budget? I would suggest going to UkuleleUnderground's forum and reading up on various brands.

  • ..but if they sign me then I'll be a Law!! Oh, I hope and pray that they will, but today I am still just a bill... :-)

    Nice Aquisition!

  • Thanks Chris!

  • uke can never own too many ukuleles ;)

    cool setup, good sound

  • Believe it or not, I don't own that many but you are correct. Thanks!

  • I love that you played a School House Rock song on it first. :) That has always been one of my favourite fun school songs. I also like the grammar ones. "Conjunction junction, what's your fuuunctiooon?" I need to learn the rest of that song!

Great review! Made me smile. :D

  • Thanks! "CJ" is one of my favorites. "Interjection" is a fun one.

  • Mighty fine uke you got there. Sounds wonderful

Thanks for the government lesson, I was wondering where laws came from :-)

  • lol Thanks!

  • went to their site, they are all so beautiful, maybe a nice addition to my collection if i ever have money again

  • They are quite nice. Thanks BAJ.

  • I got to play with a couple of Nalu's a month or so ago. They seemed quite nice (then again I have little experience to compare them against). Thanks for the nice review.

  • Which model(s) did you get to play?

  • They had a pear shaped one that was enjoyable to play. I also tried a concert. Sorry, I don't remember more specifically.

  • Thats a beautiful uke! great sound and a great review.

  • Thank you Dave.

  • Great review, Deach. It's a very unique, and beautiful instrument.

  • Thanks Greg. I like it!

  • Sounds good Deach...enjoy it!

  • Thanks James.

  • Thank you for sharing, Deach :)

  • Thank you for watching and commenting!

  • Snazzy - I like it.

    Love the number too!

  • Thank you sir.

  • Wow, beautiful uke. The inlay on the 7th fret is really nice. And it sounds great!

  • Thanks Sebi! Ye the 7th fret marker is quite nice.

  • awesome. thats a pretty sweet uke....and a cool song too. this one sweet/cool video.

  • Thanks Booze!

  • woooah HI-DEF deach

    sounds great

  • Thanks krabbers!

  • Looks nice. I need a new uke.

  • Me too. lol

  • Beautiful looking ukulele, Deach. A nice quiet, calm pace to your delivery. Really excellent review.

  • Thanks Ken. The quietness was me wondering how subjective/objective I should be.

  • very very nice :)

  • Thank you!

  • Great review. Nice looking/sounding ukulele. Never heard of them before.

Oh...and, thanks a lot! I'm gonna have that stuck in my head all day now. I think I learned more from schoolhouse rock than I did from public schools.

  • Thanks. yes, Schoolhouse Rock was great!

  • nice review Deach

  • Thanks!

  • Schoolhouse rock RULEZ!!!

  • Yes it does!

  • Well, you know I'm a sucker for sound holes ;) Thanks for sharing - I've never heard of that brand before, and it sure is perrdy!

We should have covered that song when I was in DC - CURSE IT ALL! :)

  • Do you live near a train track? I could fly out and we could do Conjunction Junction.

  • ONLY IN MY BACK YARD!...I'm gonna hold you to this, ya know ;)

  • beautiful uke there deach, sounds pretty nice. hey great tuesday to you buddy

    Ken G

  • Thanks Ken!

  • That's a really gorgeous uke Deach! I love the inlay. Really pretty. It sounds great too, though you make every uke you play sound good! Thanks for such a great review. Never having heard of that brand until today, it's great to get a really close up look and listen to it.

  • Thanks Michelle. It sounds better now that I put Worths on it,

  • Great, Deach! I love the wave motifs. I guess that's what "nalu" means in Hawaiian.

  • Thanks Don. The wave sucked me in.

  • Great review of a great sounding uke, Deach. Looks awesome too. Where is it made?

    Great rocking too!

  • Thanks Baron. It's made in China but distributed out of California.

  • It looks great. How do you like it so far? How does it compare to good chineese made ukes like mainlands and ohanas or to Hawaiians like Koaloha?

  • I changed the strings and I like it a lot more now. It's comparable to the Mainland's mahogany but I think the Mainland is better if you're on a budget.

My Koalohas cost more than twice as much as this one did and play twice as nice as they should.

    Overall, I really like it!

  • Good! You deserve a lot of good ukes - I was alarmed when I heard you were down to only five!

  • tabs for "just a bill" ? haha

  • I wish I knew. lol I obviously don't know them.

  • sounds awesome!

  • Thanks Fred!

  • Want one!!

  • I'm sure he'll be happy to make you one.

  • great review deach! love the schoolhouse rock number.

  • Mahalozzzz!!!!!Interjection!!!!!
