  • we have it pretty bad as well here in california, I feel your frustration.

  • @fordxbgtfalcon It's ridiculous. There are a few interviews wit ha local reporter here on YT. Watching what she is going through is very discouraging.

  • I cannot help but think that overly stringent/bureaucratically muddled gun control only strips power from those who obey the laws. The lawless bastards that want to rob you more than likely didn't get their guns legally and will, in my opinion, prey on people even more so knowing that the law-abiding cannot easily arm themselves. Subversion of the 2nd Amendment also strips us of the ability to defend ourselves against our own government, should that unfortunate scenario become necessary.

  • @TheSundayGamer Right on! Well said.

  • @vangard213 Thats what I was thinking. Don't want to buy a gun and not be able to handle it. As far as getting advice from someone who's been shot...hmmmm. Not sure if that's good or bad. ;)

  • @vangard213 As I'm sure you've noticed I have MASSIVE upper body strength. LOL Thanks for the info. I'll keep it in mind when making my decision.

  • @pollymims123 I respect your opinion.

  • @TheSupertich LOL

  • @vangard213 I was thinking of a shotgun too. I've been considering for a while. Haven't done a lot of research yet.

  • @avenger8881 I'll be making an update soon.

  • Woohoo!!!! Good man.

As Chris Rock once said: "Who needs pecs when you got Tecs?(Tec-9)"

  • @Mauhadeeb28 LOL

  • Just remember a few things:

-A gun does not make you invincible. I taught somebody I knew that lesson the hard way.Pulled him right out of a group, nobody noticed. If I had wanted to hurt him, rather than just teach him a lesson, he could've died and I would not be a suspect.

-Foresight is the most valuable weapon of all. Have some plans, some prep, and you minimize the chance you'll need to use a gun.

-Practice makes perfect. If you don't, you're more likely to hurt yourself than your attacker.

  • @MisterDyslexo Thanks. Agreed on all of that. It will only be used in my home and I plan of practicing. If I feel for one second I am acting differently for having gotten one I will get rid of it.

  • on point as usual.

  • @super16g123 Thanks.

  • A 9mm is all you need man.

  • @pettyofficer30 wish i had more hands. so i could give that gun 4 thumbs down ;)

  • @super16g123 Why do you say that?

  • @pettyofficer30 Why?

  • @gfreakj The 9mm is great for protection at home or when shooting at the at at the range. It has very minimal recoil. I have a baretta 9mm solely for home protection. It is larger and heavier than the glock easy to clean and keep maintained. You can Google baretta 9mm for the pic and specs. I tried to send them but was unable.

  • @pettyofficer30 I'll check it out. Thanks for the info.

  • good luck!!

  • @mamapeas1 Thanks.

  • Just in case of vampires, rub some garlic on the bullets.

  • @QWERTYEXOTIC72 And in case of vampire werewolves, rub garlic on silver bullets.

  • @Mauhadeeb28 Even BETTER! ;)

  • @QWERTYEXOTIC72 LOL...thanks.

  • The right to bear arms is very important. Without it we risk losing all our rights. I'm with you on this and I hope you already know how to handle a gun or will take lessons. Its important to feel comfortable with a weapon for it to be efficient.

  • @bantyhenrants I will be taking lessons. I have a friend who is interested that wants to go to the gun range with me.

  • @gfreakj

here is some useful information, long videos but might be interesting for you.

    part 1: /watch?v=dTGrogkU-NY&feature=channel_video_title

    part 2: /watch?v=yP3sA1142nA&feature=channel_video_title

  • @Fudoh1 I'll check em out. Thanks.

  • @Fudoh1 Links didn't work. Send me them in a pm please.

  • I just got my first gun, a Springfield XD-40. In my town in NJ, the police dept has been extremely helpful and nice, not like the horror stories I have read about what other people in my state have had to go through

  • @TheLegalImmigrant05 I have already gotten helpful info and offers of further help if I need it from the DCPD. Pleasantly surprised. Why did you choose that particular gun?

  • @gfreakj The caliber is enough to stop a bad guy if need be; the make - well, it's good value for money. Springfield XDs have nice safety features, like bullet in chamber indicator, cocked striker indicator, and grip safety. Glocks, which many people say Springfields are similar to, don't have those safety features. And XDs are cheaper than Glocks.

  • Google "Washington, DC Shooting Ranges & Guns" Find a club close to you.

Most clubs have certified instructors. Many instructors offer group classes at cheap prices to teach you how to safely handle your handgun. Also, Your gonna want a gun that is dependable, Easy to load, easy to fire, easy to clean & versatile. I recommend a "Ruger GP-100" It is a 357 magnum that can also fire .38 caliber.

  • @captianusa I'll keep that suggestion in mind. Thanks.

  • Hey G, you're going to have to change your channel name, Angry Man In The Bathroom and My Dawg and my Hand Cannon. Or Gfreak with a Shotgun.

  • @hunkatiel LOL. I like gfreak with a shotgun. ;)

  • @gfreakj Shotgun is next on my list of firearm purchases. Nothing like it for home defense.

  • @TheLegalImmigrant05 I'm responding to both of the comments you left here. Other comment you left wont let me for some reason.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep it in mind. Do you know if gun ranges/clubs will let someone come in and try different guns out first? I've never handled a gun before and I think I should before making any decisions.

  • I'm glad I don't live in DC. There's no background check at yard sales and we don't have to register. Love it.

  • @zookeeper220 Wow. VERY different from here.

  • @pollymims123 Yeah, but fear can be a healthy thing!

  • congrats on becoming a firearm owner, it comes with great responsibility and legalities but as long as you do your research on laws, legalities and so on you should be fine. I'm a firearm owner in California. whenever possible try to get some training and practice in and test various brands of ammo for reliability and grouping some guns don't like some brands or types of ammo and others work flawlessly or prefer certain types. Personally for me my concern is over penetration if used defensively.

  • @SakuraMasumi Thanks. I need to do more research on what kind of gun to buy. Not very knowledgeable in that arena.

  • G/Freak. Great to hear you are going to move forward on owning a firearm. Do yourself a huge favor and get some professional training even if you have to go to another state. Your gun is just a tool and everyone needs to learn how to use dangerous tools safely. Spend a couple hundred dollars on a class it is well worth it.

  • @JAWSnAZ I will get professional training. Thanks for the advice.

  • We're going to get er done G/Freak! The more people that jump on the band wagon the better! Gosh dang it you have a right to defend yourself and that turd of a mayor has decided where, when, and if you can defend yourself! Well I say F that! Don't forget to tell anyone that ask; FACT: More guns equals less crime.

I going to also put together a gun safety flier to help you guys that have no experience handling guns. But like everything, common since goes a long way.

  • @ronterry1076 I appreciate any help you can offer. Surprisingly my local PD has been helpful and friendly about it so far. Im gonna make a video reading some of the info I have and the types of guns we can legally own.

  • 12 gauge pump shotgun is the best home defense. Not enough to pass through your house into another's house and plenty of power. Dependable as long as you are trained to use it. There is a reason that cops carry shot guns. They work!

  • @The806Traveler Thats what I am thinking of getting.

  • I really want a gun.

I am however being a former boxer like the personal touch.

When you get your gun show us.

  • @NefariousVirtuoso88 I most definitely will.

  • @gfreakj get a rocket launcher lol Joking :D

  • @yomomy585 LOL. At least I have little chance of missing with one of those. Of course the house might collapse. ;)

  • @KlingonSpider Gun not fun lol sorry my bad XD

  • @yomomy585 fool you trippin, a glock is by far one of the most economical and well made firearms. have you had a bad experience with one before?

  • @KlingonSpider Bullshit! The glock is fine for concealment, but it has NO SAFETY! That is why military won't touch it.

  • @KlingonSpider a Glock is a bad fun they Jam a lot

  • I have like three gun's i have a Shotgun a colt.45 and a revolver My shotgun is like a baby to me lol :D

  • @yomomy585 Shotgun is what I am thinking. Easier to hit my target.

  • buy a Glock 17, it's cheap and extremely well made. it's one of the most common handguns in the world. preferably a .45, but a 9mm is fine

  • @KlingonSpider Thanks for the info. I'll keep that in mind. Not sure what I want to get yet. I have a small apartment and a shotgun is what seems to give me the best chance of hitting my target.

  • Congrats @gfreakj. Hope the process goes smoothly for you. As for your CCW in DC, I know how rough it was back in MD to even entertain the thought of obtaining one for your 2nd Amendment rights. I imagine that process is ever more maddening in DC. Good luck!

  • @unworld I think in DC we have to prove we have been threatened to be able to carry a concealed weapon.

  • @gfreakj To the point that in DC you have to prove you've been threatened, does the city's overall crime rate & legacy of homicide numbers serve as good enough proof? :\ I mean what are these bureaucrats looking for, a death threat with the signature "non-law abiding criminals" on the bottom?

Well, at the bare minimum I hope you won't (or didn't) have any issues securing a firearm to protect yourself at home.

  • @unworld Not to the screwy politicians we have here./ Once I get shot in the head they'll slide the permit under my pillow in the ICU. ;)I hope I don't have too many problems though I am realizing it is going to be rather difficult.

  • Thanks for sharing, good series, good luck...

I know in NY, they can just deny you without telling you why, and of course, they keep all the money you paid... which is one of the reasons I'm moving! ;-P

    -TEW

  • @theeastwatch Wow. That's ridiculous. That along with the taxes is a great reason to move.

  • As you can see guns has definitely gotten my attention :D

  • @MrMagnificentMedia More to come.

  • don't get a gun, learn to kick ass like batman lol

  • @xmonke55 A combo might be in order. Kick ass on street , shotgun in my hallway. ;)

  • is this your first gun?? wouldnt buy a 20 gauge if it is alot of kick

  • @theboarman Yes it is. I don't need anything that is gonna knock me off my feet. I wonder if there is a way I can test guns without buying just to get a feel for them.
