  • Hey, this is what I learned of the numbers. For 4, I used Shi just for the first time (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) and did Yon for the rest(11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,1­9,20,...).For 7, I just always said Nana.

  • That's great...but the Japanese would be more inclined to say "yon" for 4 rather than "shi" as "shi" in Chinese sounds more or less similar to 'death'.

    So 14 would be "Ju Yon", 24 would be "Ni Ju yon", and so on.
