I mentioned it in the video. If you Cydia icon is white, you didn't do the final tethered boot. So do one more tethered boot or download the latest RedSn0w. The non-tethered jailbreak is out.

@younglad90 Who is your service provider? Make sure your phone gets activated. Activation is done during the initial welcome screen when you install iOS5.

@mauri95668mauricio Sprint is suppose to be supported. But I don't have one to try directly. Just make sure it's on the 5.0 firmware release.

@MsRooney12345 If you see the Apple logo and it's stuck there. That's a good thing. That means you need to put the phone into DFU mode so RedSn0w can complete the tethered boot. It's similar to how I demonstrated in the video. Hold down both top (sleep) and bottom (home) buttons. When the Apple logo turns off, count to 6secs and then let go of the top button, while keeping the bottom button held. In about 8secs, RedSn0w will detect the iPhone in DFU mode and complete the tethered boot process.

@MsRooney12345 Doesn't sound like you were successful getting into DFU mode. You have to give me more feedback in order for me to be able to help. Could you tell me what part in the video you are stuck at? mins:secs I tried to be as thorough as possible. Remember, in DFU mode...you will not see the apple logo. If you see the apple logo, you did not successfully enter DFU mode. Please watch the video again.

@davisito085 I am not sure. I haven't tried a Sprint iPhone 4 yet. Though the Sprint iPhone 4 version should work just fine as it's similar to the Verizon CDMA phone. The new iPhone 4s does not have a jailbreak yet, so obviously the Sprint version of that won't work.

@EdwardWescott There's nothing that you can't undo using iTunes to restore your iPhone back to factory. Then you can restore your latest backup and you're back to normal. Just make sure you know what benefits of a jailbroken iphone is for you. Because there's no reason to Jailbreak, if it doesn't offer you anything more than a stock iPhone does.
