@hairychainsaw1 leave the battery out long enough, optional there should be a jumper for clearing the cmos on the mainboard. Just search google for that :)

Actually I'm pretty sure you can just remove CMOS/BIOS batt, on laptops and desktops, hold down power button for 4-5 minutes, repeat for about 30 secs just to be sure, then power on the PC without the battery, just to make sure it's been emptied.

I sucessfully removed my Power on password.. I just went into BOIS setup on my computer, (press ECS when it startes), Then i went to Set New Power-On Password. I just wrote the old password in "Enter Old Password", when i just leaved the "Enter new Password" open (dident write anything), same with "Confirm New password" and the password was gone

Yea it should if it has the Bios battery or Cmos battery, But you may have to leave out dell bios batterys for like 4-5 hours i think.

lol if its in warranty just send it back to Gateway and tell em someone set a bios pass and you want em to remove it, also i can only help you out if your still able to get into windows

Well if you r able to get into windows then Go to your manufacturer website and download the Bios driver update and install that and run the program.... Once finished the Bios will be flashed and your pass Should be Cleared and Gone..
