thanks for the tutorial! i want to do a touhou mix for my music a level, but i had NO idea how to create a cymbal wash, which i really wanted to start it all off ^_^ thank you
Nice tip, but its alot easier to just sample a wash from the hiphop kit in the ex24. Record a wash from the hiphop kit in midi, bounce it to audio, then use that sound to create new region.
hey guys, how do you rate logic as an overall sound prog??? (It's just that it's a lot of money to spend on audio software when I already have FL 9 Producer).... thanks for any feedback :)
@AlexGeoffreyForbes I haven't really used much other audio programs, but I like Logic a lot, for sure. It can be a little glitchy, and definitely has a big learning curve, but otherwise it's a great program. But then again, if you're already really good with FL, it's probably good to stick with what you know best. I have friends who make music with it, and it doesn't sound that bad of a program at all....
@AlexGeoffreyForbes i used to use and love FL and i still think its a decent program but my opinion is that logic is way superior ! In logic the possibilities are endless and quality is much much higher ! IMO
there is one in logic already.... its one of the samples/notes in the "orchestral kit" or something like that. cant remember which one exactly, but it starts silent and rolls into it.... obviously like a cymbal wash should!
Yeah, I figured that out too. :P I made this when I was first just screwing around with Logic, and I didn't really pay attention to all those presets in the ESX24 sampler. But I figured it was a cool effect to know, and people could use it for other stuff... I'll try to make more useful Tips & Tricks in the future, whenever I get around to it, that is.
I don't like Soundbooth, it was like the iMovie '08 to iMovie '06 when Adobe made Cool Edit Pro turn into Soundbooth. You can't even reverse sounds in it...
Yes, it is. Highly worth it though. It focuses on music, but it does come with a simple video editor (I haven't tried it though, I can't say much on it).
It is a professional set, I believe it was used for the album Viva la Vida...among others.
Hi, Am i mistaken or is there no sound here???

@marekconnell1980 There's none until the very end. My screen recorder glitched when I was making this. Sorry. :P

isn't there reverse crash samples you can just use for the same effect?

This was trying to go for a more natural sounding cymbal wash, like in orchestral works, but that works too.
