  • you are a amazing turtle breeder i want more videos your turtles are healthy and so happy you are amazing at decorating there tanks i like the one that has there pet rock i have my own way to decorate mine i think many will like it say do you like my turtles name hes name is joey like it ?

  • ohhh

  • they look bigger here than in the new vid in dere 40 gallon

  • Probably because I zoomed in a lot on them. =)

  • I see you dont want your turtles to have a lack of vitamin D!!!!! Nice!!!!!

  • how big are they????

  • At the time, they were about 4 inches big.

  • what size of a tank u got

  • Hehe, look at my latest video and take a guess. I'll reveal the answer soon.

  • Thanks so much!!! My turtles just love sight-seeing. =D

  • cool. my turtles like to be sneaky. when you let them out of there tank, they will stay in there shell and then 1 minute later they are hiding in the sand.

  • Thanks. Yeah, turtles are little goofballs. I LOVE IT. =P

  • and people say turtles are slow!!!!! i hav 7 in my pond and when i take them out to relax around the yard they go crazy and all run in different directions! they are very fast! thats cool u hav a male RES i dont hav a male all females all drama queens!

  • Seriously. Just because an animal has a shell on its back doesn't make it slow. If anything, it makes them fast because they have some secret rocket in it that boosts them to uber speeds. LOL.

Hahah!! So 7 turtles huh? Cooool. My female turtle is also a drama queen. She's the crazy and aggressive one while my male turtle is mellow.

  • yea!

yup 7 a lot of girls to handle even for me! haha!

  • great video!

I need to take video of mine with music and take em out more.

  • Thank ya!! And oh yes, your turtles will love that (taking them out AND making a video of 'em). =P

  • i've been caring for my older one since she was a little bit over a hatchling, so yes for about two years (give or take). my other one is only about 7-9 months old and she's almost the same size as the older one

  • Well, turtles grow at different rates like people. Just don't overfeed them.

Also, you may have a male and female turtle. Females are bigger than males.

  • true, true :)

i'm pretty sure both are females because neither have long nails and their tails arent thick like a male's should be, although the smaller one isn't a red eared slider. she's a rio grande cooter, so that might be why she's slightly bigger

  • Sounds like someone watched my turtle poem video. ;) LoL.

Yeahhh, I thought your turtles were both red-eared sliders. =P That may explain the size difference. Don't worry though... it's all good!

  • lol! no i didn't actually haha...so i just watched it right now :) that's a good way to remember how to distinguish males and females...i did some research after i got my turtle (she didnt originally belong to me nor did i really want a turtle..my sister never took care of april so i took her in because i didnt want to see her die)

  • cool! how old are they?

  • Thanks! They're 2 years old. =)

  • wow they're big! mine is almost 2 years old as well but she's kind of small :/ wonder why. hope i'm not doing something wrong :(

  • I've seen turtles that were apparently a few months old and like 6 inches big. Now that is when I would be worried.

Have you been actually caring for your turtles for 2 years, or you just know that they're 2 years old?

  • looks like they love outdoors lol :D

  • Did you speed up the footages or do your turtles actually walk that fast?

And what are their names btw?

  • I didn't speed anything up... they actually ARE that fast. LoL!!

And their aliases are 'Thing 1' and 'Thing 2'. =P =)

  • they walk fast

  • nice video! your turtles look so healthy and happy. they sure love being outside!

  • Thank you!! And oh yes... if turtles could smile, mine would be smiling all day. Heehee. =)

  • Haha, that's awesome. I've never thought of turtles as having personalities, but it makes sense

  • Haha seriously... meeee either.

  • can you tell them apart from each other?

  • Oh but of course. Good mommas can tell their babies apart. ;) LOL.

Not only can you tell by their appearances (size, shells, claws, etc.), you can tell by their personalities. They are COMPLETE OPPOSITES.

  • HAHA my babies are complete opposites too. One is the hyper but kind of blonde one and the other is the 'leave me alone' kind. :)

  • LOVE THIS - Was thinking of doing the same thing with my 5 turts. We had to move them out to the backyard pond, but they love it.

They are soooooooo cute -- good job

  • Thanks so much! And you SHOULD do the same thing. Hee hee. =)

  • awesome!! they look cool when there walking around :)

  • Thank ya!! Yeah, they're pretty badass. =P

  • man ur turtles are big do they still live in that ten gallon tank?

  • Yup, they're bigger alright. And yeah they do. You'd be surprised how well they're doing in their tank. I'm in the process of thinking what size tank I should get when the time is right to upgrade. =)

  • Great! they have gotten big! they are so cute!! and look happy!!

  • Hehe yeah! Thanks! =)
