@renglish946 There will be some form of objective, god alone knows what though as there are thousands of possibilities.

It's not quite the same as Paintball regarding hits. Usually in Airsoft games it is possible to "respawn" or be "revived" after you have been shot, allowing you to rejoin the game a few minutes later.

From your comment, I assume you have never used an Airsoft pump action shotgun?

Unlike a real shotgun, the action of an Airsoft shotgun is far harder to move, as you're not just shifting the bolt carrier, you're compressing a large spring to fill the piston with air.

I'm not being racist, the UK just has really terrible gun laws (comparatively) which makes it harder to get a gun than it does in some/most US states. I was making a generalization. Please come back when you are not an ass. I Have used an Airsoft pump action shotgun, and it was no where near as hard as it was to rack the slide on a real one.

@Jacksonsman1 You've obviously never used an Airsoft sniper rifle. Unlike real rifles where the bolt pull is usually fairly light, as the spring for the firing pin is fairly tiny, Airsoft sniper rifles have a massive spring inside the bolt, which is quite hard to compress fully, especially if it a higher powered spring. Getting the extra leverage is often necessary.

@jimmyxx3 "spring" guns are very consistent and there is little to go wrong with them. However, the rate of fire is tiny, as you need to cock after every shot. This means that the system is only suited to bolt action rifles and pump action shotguns. To make a BAR a usable sniping weapon takes a lot of practice and tinkering, and expensive upgrade parts, and the only shotguns that are really worth using are TM Tri-Shots.

@jimmyxx3 the only spring 98K is a shell ejector and therefore not much more than a display piece. However, a company called Tanaka produce a gas version, which is skirmishable.

What kind of FPS do I want for a good sniper rifle?

@sneakyrogues FPS is pretty meaningless as a general rule of thumb. A rifle with an upgraded and finely tuned hop up and a precision TBB firing at 300 FPS will out shoot a rifle with stock parts firing at 400 FPS. FPS =/= range, FPS =/= accuracy. The only thing FPS means is you can use heavier BBs without sacrificing as much range.
