That baby is pretty young, problably 6 months, just starting to crawl, problably do not weigh very much, so when they fall, they do not hit the ground very hard. Mine was problably that age when he fell off the bed, I heard a thunk when he hit the floor so I assuming his head hit the floor which was not padded by the way. He was crying but after a hug, he was ok

My sister likes Hillary Clinton and she said that Hillary once told a story of Chelsea falling off their bed when she was about the same age. As long as the child isnt hurt, its not a catastrophe! firstly im not her parent, secondly i didnt let her do anything. the bed isnt all that high, she didnt roll far as a quilt was on the floor as she thought it was an amusing game. as for the soft spot and soft skull im well aware of that, im also well aware that it takes a lot more then a tumble to do damage.

falling off of a bed wouldnt do anything to a soft spot. They have an extremely thick membrane over that area and no damage can be done to that area unless you push into it reallllly hard. But I do agree that babies falling off of beds arnt funny.
